The International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) is a not-for-profit association for prison A prison, also known as a jail, gaol (dated, standard English, Australian, and historically in Canada), penitentiary (American English and Canadian English), detention center (or detention centre outside the US), correction center, correc ... professionals, based in Brussels, Belgium. The current president is Peter Severin from Australia. It hosts an annual conference in a different city each year. A previous president was Peter van der Sande. ICPA is a non-governmental organization in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC). ICPA was founded in 1998. Rwanda (; rw, u Rwanda ), officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley of Central Africa, where the African Great Lakes region and Southeast Africa converge.
