International Association Of Agricultural Economists
The International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE) is an International professional organization for agricultural economists. IAAE publishes the peer-reviewed journal '' Agricultural Economics''. The flagship conference of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE), the International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE), is held every three years. Although founded in England in 1929, the Association was only formally incorporated as a 501(c)(6) organization in the USA as of 2012, as the "International Association of Agricultural Economists, Inc". The related "Fund for the International Conference of Agricultural Economics" was registered as a 501(c)(3) organization in the USA in 1960, to offer support for travel and registration costs to the triennial conference. Leonard Knight Elmhirst
Leonard Knight Elmhirst (6 June 1893 – 16 April 1974) was a British philanthropist and agronomist who worked extensively in India. He co-founded with his wife, Dorothy, the Dartington Hall project in progressive education and rural reconstruction. Biography Leonard Elmhirst was born into a landed gentry family in Worsbrough (now part of Barnsley, Yorkshire), where the family seat is Houndhill. He was the second of nine siblings (eight boys and one girl). His elder brother, Captain William Elmhirst, was killed on 13 November 1916, aged 24, while serving with the 8th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment during the Battle of the Somme, and the third son, Second Lieutenant Ernest Christopher Elmhirst, was killed on 7 August 1915, aged 20, while serving with the 8th Bn. Macdonald College
The Macdonald Campus of McGill University (commonly referred to as the ‘Mac Campus’ or simply ’Mac’) houses McGill's Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (FAES), which includes the Institute of Parasitology, the School of Human Nutrition and the McGill School of Environment. It is located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec, in the West Island region of the Island of Montreal. The property is also the home of John Abbott College. History Construction began in 1905, and the school opened its doors to students in 1907 as the Macdonald College of McGill University. Science is a systematic endeavor that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe.
