Ingrid Lorentzen
Ingrid Trøite Lorentzen (born 9 March 1972) is a Norwegian ballet dancer. Since August 2012, she has been artistic director of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet. Early life Born in Trondheim, she grew up in the Byåsen district and attended Åsveien Elementary School and Sverresborg Middle School. She received her ballet training at the Norwegian National Academy of Ballet in Oslo (1988–89), and at the Royal Swedish Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm. She also studied ballet in New York and Paris. Career Lorentzen's breakthrough came in 1991 with her performance of Kjersti Alveberg's ''Lokk'' in the Eurovision contest for young dancers. The following year she danced ''Kristin Lavransdatter'' in Nidaros Cathedral. From 1995 to 1997 she was with Skånes Danseteater in Malmö. Glen Tetley
Glen Tetley (February 3, 1926 – January 26, 2007) was an American ballet and modern dancer as well as a choreographer who mixed ballet and modern dance to create a new way of looking at dance, and is best known for his piece ''Pierrot Lunaire''. Biography Glenford Andrew Tetley, Jr. was born on February 3, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio. While in medical school, Tetley found a passion for dance. After graduating from Franklin and Marshall College in 1946, Tetley moved to New York City to study dance. He began his career as a dancer, dancing in Hanya Holm's Broadway production of ''Kiss Me, Kate'' in 1948 and ''Juno'' in 1959, as well as with the New York City Opera Ballet, John Butler's American Dance Theatre, and the Joffrey Ballet where he was an original member. Kim Brandstrup
Kim Brandstrup (born 9 January 1957, Aarhus, Denmark) is a Danish-born, British-based choreographer. He received a degree from the University of Copenhagen in Film and Media Studies and the London Contemporary Dance School where he studied choreography with Nina Fonaroff. He began working as a choreographer in 1983, and in 1985 founded his own dance company, Arc Dance Company. Jiří Kylián (born 21 March 1947) is a Czech former dancer and contemporary dance choreographer. Life Jiří Kylián was born in 1947 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, to his father Václav who was a banker and to his mother Markéta, who was as a young teenager a dancer-child protégée. Initially inspired by the acrobatic performances of the , Kylián decided to pursue professional ballet training at the School of the National Ballet Prague at the age of 9, after having seen a ballet performance for the first time. Kylián was admitted to the Prague conservatory in 1962. Here he encountered one of his mentors, teacher and former dancer Zora Šemberová, "who left a deep mark in Jiří's professional development".
