''Il Gaucho'' (internationally released as ''The Gaucho'') is a 1964 Italian comedy film directed by Dino Risi. It was co-produced by Clemente Lococo, an Argentinian production company, and in Argentina it was released as ''Un italiano en la Argentina''. For his role in this film Nino Manfredi won a Grolla d'oro for best actor. Dino Risi
Dino Risi (23 December 1916 – 7 June 2008) was an Italian film director. With Mario Monicelli, Luigi Comencini, Nanni Loy and Ettore Scola, he was one of the masters of ''commedia all'italiana''. Biography Risi was born in Milan. He had an older brother, Fernando, a cinematographer, and a younger brother, Nelo Risi, Nelo (1920–2015), a director and writer.
