Ix Shen
Ix Shen (born 11 March 1972), also known as Shen Qing, is a Singaporean actor and film production crew. He was based in Ukraine when Russia invaded the country in 2022, and was known to provide first-hand accounts via the Internet. Career Shen began his acting career in TCS (now Mediacorp) in 1995 after emerging the male winner of ''Star Search'', a televised talent search competition. In 2000, he joined SPH MediaWorks not long after the latter was established. In late 2004 SPH MediaWorks was merged into MediaCorp and Shen was one of the 20 artistes who rejoined MediaCorp. The 2007 television series '' Honour and Passion'', produced by MediaCorp Channel 8 and sponsored by Singapore's Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), featured Shen in the role of a terrorist named Wu Chengyi, who holds the lives of Singaporeans to ransom. Jesseca Liu (born Lao Chew Yen on 13 February 1979) is a Malaysian actress who is based in Singapore. She is a contracted artiste under MediaCorp and managed by HIM International Music. Early life Jesseca Liu was born on 13 February 1979 in Langkawi, Malaysia, with the name Lao Chew Yen. She began modelling after graduating from Saito Academy in 2001. Languages often spoken by Liu are Cantonese, Hokkien, Mandarin, English and Malay. She finished second for a Malaysian beauty contest in 2001. Sook Ching
Sook Ching was a mass killing that occurred from 18 February to 4 March 1942 in Singapore after it fell to the Japanese. It was a systematic purge and massacre of 'anti-Japanese' elements in Singapore, with the Singaporean Chinese particularly targeted by the Japanese military during the occupation. However, Japanese soldiers engaged in indiscriminate killing and did not try to identify who was 'anti-Japanese.' Singapore was a crucial strategic point in World War II. From 8 February to 15 February, the Japanese fought for control of the city. Bucha Massacre
The Bucha massacre (; ) was the mass murder of Ukrainian civilians and prisoners of war by the Russian Armed Forces during the fight for and occupation of the city of Bucha as part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Photographic and video evidence of the massacre emerged on 1 April 2022, after Russian forces withdrew from the city. Verbal reports had been emerging since early March. According to local authorities, 458 bodies have been recovered from the town, including nine children under the age of 18. Among the victims, 419 people were killed with weapons and 39 appeared to have died of natural causes, possibly related to the occupation.
