Iván García (diver)
Iván Alejandro García Navarro (born 25 October 1993) is a Mexican diver. He is nicknamed "Pollo" ("Chicken"). He competes in diving and represented Mexico at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He won a silver medal in the 10m Synchronized Platform with his partner Germán Sánchez with a high score of 468.90. In the individual 10m Platform, García came the 7th with a score of 521.65. He won two gold medals in both the individual and synchronized 10m Platform in the 2011 Pan-American Games. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London García won the silver medal in the synchronized 10 metre platform diving, with his partner Germán Sánchez. At the 2015 Pan American Games, he retained the gold medal in the individual 10m platform back to back. In Rio 2016 he finished 10th on the individual platform. Diving At The 2015 Pan American Games – Men's 10 Metre Platform
The men's 10 metre platform competition of the diving events at the 2015 Pan American Games was held on July 12 at the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House in Toronto, Canada. The winner of the competition will qualify his country a quota place for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. If the host nation of the Olympics wins the event, the runner up will qualify instead. The individual diving competitions all consist of two rounds. In the first, the divers each perform five dives. All divers advance to the finals. In the final round, the divers perform a final set of five dives, with the scores from those dives (and only those dives) used to determine final ranking. The 2011 Pan American Games, officially the XVI Pan American Games () and commonly known as Guadalajara 2011, were an international multi-sport event held from October 14–30, 2011, in Guadalajara, Mexico. Some events were held in the nearby cities of Ciudad Guzmán, Puerto Vallarta, Lagos de Moreno and Tapalpa. 2020 FINA Diving World Cup
The 2021 FINA Diving World Cup was scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan, from 21 to 26 April 2020. It was to be the 22nd edition of the biennial diving competition, and the first time this specific FINA event was to be held in Tokyo and Japan. The venue was to be the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, and the final qualifying diving event for the 2020 Summer Olympics. The event was postponed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, after consulting with the International Olympic Committee. This followed the cancellation of the Beijing stop for the FINA Diving World Series in February 2020, and suspension of all other FINA events in March.
