Ivan Paunić
Ivan Paunić ( sr-cyr, Иван Паунић; born January 27, 1987) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. He also represented the Serbia national basketball team, Serbian national basketball team internationally. Professional career Paunić began playing basketball at a professional level in the Adriatic League when he was a teenager, beginning with Serbian club KK Partizan, Partizan in the 2004–05 season. He spent next season on loan at KK Mega Vizura, Mega Ishrana and KK Mornar, Mornar. In 2006 he was sent to KK Vojvodina Srbijagas, Vojvodina Srbijagas. He spent two seasons in Vojvodina, and then in 2008 went to BC Oostende, Oostende. In December 2009 he goes to Greece and signed with Aris B.C., Aris Thessaloniki. In August 2010, Paunić signed with the Russian team BC Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod where he stayed till April 2012, when he moved to Italy and signed with Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna, Virtus Bolgna for the rest of the season. BC Nizhny Novgorod (), commonly known as simply Nizhny Novgorod, also known as Pari Nizhny Novgorod for sponsorship reasons, is a Russian professional basketball club from the city of Nizhny Novgorod. The Serbia men's national basketball team () represents Serbia in international men's basketball competition, and is controlled by the Basketball Federation of Serbia. The 2009 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 2009, was the 36th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe. The tournament, which was hosted by Poland, began on 7 September and concluded with the final on 20 September 2009. The Prva A liga, for sponsorships reasons named the Erste Liga, is the top-tier professional basketball league in Montenegro. It is the highest basketball division organized by the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG). YUBA League
The YUBA League was the top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia and Montenegro (previously FR Yugoslavia). Founded in 1992 and folded in 2006, it was run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia and Montenegro. The name ''YUBA League'' (Yugoslav Basketball Association League) was used in Serbia and Montenegro until 2006. It consisted of the first-stage "First League", and the second-stage "Super League", with each having their own men's and women's divisions.
