Itäkeskus Metro Station
Itäkeskus metro station (, - "Eastern Center") is a ground-level station on the Helsinki Metro. The station was built on the grounds of the shopping center Itis, and serves the quarter of Itäkeskus in the neighborhood of Vartiokylä in East Helsinki. There are 240 bicycle and 420 car parking spaces at the station. Itäkeskus is served by both M1 and M2 and acts as an exchange station between the two, as it is the easternmost station to be shared by both lines. Itäkeskus is one of the original stations on the system, and was opened on 1 June 1982. It was designed by Jaakko Ylinen and Jarmo Maunula. Itäkeskus is located 2.1 kilometers east of Siilitie metro station, 1.9 kilometers south of Myllypuro metro station, and 1.0 kilometers south-west of Puotila metro station. Itäkeskus station is unique in the sense that it is the only station on the Helsinki metro that has 3 platforms. Myllypuro metro station (, - "Mill Creek") is a ground-level station on lines M2 (Tapiola - Mellunmäki) and M2M (Matinkylä - Mellunmäki) of the Helsinki Metro. Kalasatama Metro Station
Kalasatama metro station (, - "Fish Harbor") is a ground-level station on the Helsinki Metro, in the capital city of Finland. The station was opened on 1 January 2007, and it serves the eastern part of the central Helsinki district of Sörnäinen's quarter Kalasatama. The area is mainly composed of offices and apartments, with new residential and commercial developments being under construction in the area, including the shopping center Redi. The port facilities previously in the area were moved to Vuosaari Harbour in 2008. Unlike most other stations on the Helsinki Metro, Kalasatama was built while the metro was still running, which made construction difficult. Despite this, service was not greatly affected on either of the lines during the station's construction. Kivenlahti ( Finnish) or Stensvik (Swedish) is an underground terminus station on the western metro extension (Länsimetro) of the Helsinki Metro in Finland. Mellunmäki () (Slang: ''Meltsi'') has been a quarter of eastern Helsinki, Finland since 1946. Serious construction of Mellunmäki began in 1950 and the area was originally designed for 7,000 residents. Today in 2023 there are almost 9,000 people living in the area. Mellunmäki provides several essential services such as four grocery stores, three kiosks, four hairdressers, two physiotherapists, three restaurants, a 24/7 gym, and two nursing homes. More services can be found one metro station away in Kontula Kontula or in Itäkeskus (Itis) shopping mall three metro stations away. Vuosaari () is a Subdivisions of Helsinki#Neighbourhoods, neighbourhood in the city of Helsinki, Finland. It is located by the sea in East Helsinki and with its area of is geographically the largest district in the city. It also has two Helsinki Metro stations, Rastila metro station, Rastila and Vuosaari metro station, Vuosaari Vuosaari is one of the fastest-growing areas in Helsinki.
