István Szőnyi
István Szőnyi (1894-1960) was a Hungarian painter and printmaker noted for works such as ''The Bend of the Danube and Zebegény.'' He and his family rescued Jews during the Holocaust. Zebegény is a picturesque historic village in Pest county, Hungary. It is located 60 km north of Budapest in the Danube Bend, next to the Duna-Ipoly National Park.
