Israel Rodríguez (volleyball)
Israel Rodríguez Calderon (born 27 August 1981) is a Spanish volleyball player, a member of Spain men's national volleyball team and Spanish club CV Almería, 2007 European Champion, a medalist of the European League (gold in 2007, silver in 2009), Spanish Champion (2003, 2004, 2005), Romanian Champion (2014). Career Clubs In November 2015 he joined Polish club PGE Skra Bełchatów for replacement because of Michał Winiarski's injury. He signed a contract until the end of 2015, which was extended to the end of the season. On February 7, 2016, he played with PGE Skra and won the 2016 Polish Cup after beating ZAKSA in the final. 2007–08 CEV Champions League
The 2007–08 CEV Champions League was the 49th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams League round 24 teams will be drawn to 6 pools of 4 teams each. The 1st – 2nd ranked will qualify for the Play-off 12 teams. If the organizer of the final four is one of the above qualified teams in this case this team directly qualifies for the final four and the 3rd ranked team with the best score will also qualify for the Play-off 12 teams (replaces the organizer of the Final Four Tournament). The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split into 5 groups. Bełchatów () is a city in central Poland with a population of 55,583, as of December 2021. It is located in Łódź Voivodeship, southwest of Warsaw. The Bełchatów Power Station, Elektrownia Bełchatów, located in Bełchatów, is the largest coal fueled power plant in Europe and the fifth largest in the world. Michał Jerzy Winiarski (born 28 September 1983) is a Polish professional volleyball coach and former player. Winiarski was a member of the Poland men's national volleyball team, Poland national team from 2004 to 2014, a participant in the Olympic Games (2008 Summer Olympics, Beijing 2008, 2012 Summer Olympics, London 2012), 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, 2014 World Champion, and the 2012 FIVB Volleyball World League, 2012 World League winner.
