Isabella Ósk Sigurðardóttir
Isabella Ósk Sigurðardóttir (born 14 August 1997) is an Icelandic basketball player for Njarðvík and the Icelandic national basketball team. Club career Isabella started her senior team career with Breiðablik in the Icelandic second-tier 1. deild kvenna during the 2013–14 season. She was named the 1. deild kvenna Young Player of the Year in 2016 and to the 1. deild kvenna All-First team in 2017 when the team was promoted to the Úrvalsdeild kvenna. She started the 2018–19 season strong, averaging 9.6 points and 10.8 rebounds in the first five games and was named to the Úrvalsdeild Team of the Month in October. However, in November she was ruled out for the rest of the season after tearing her anterior cruciate ligament during practice. She missed most of the 2019–20 season but returned in end of January 2020 and averaged 4.6 points and 10.0 rebounds in the last 8 games. Forward (basketball)
Basketball is a sport with five players on the court for each team at a time. Each player is assigned to different Position (team sports), positions defined by the strategic role they play. Valur Women's Basketball
The Valur women's basketball team, commonly known as Valur, is a basketball team based in Reykjavík, Iceland. It is part of the Valur multi-sport club. In 2019, it won its first national championship. Recent history Valur played in the 2018 Úrvalsdeild finals, losing to Haukar 2–3. In April 2019, Valur won its first ever national championship when it beat Keflavík in the Úrvalsdeild finals 3–0. The team opened the 2019–20 season by defeating Keflavík, 105–81, in the annual Icelandic Super Cup. Grindavík (women's Basketball) Players
Grindavík () is a fishing town in the Southern Peninsula district of Iceland, not far from Þorbjörn, a tuya (a type of flat-topped, steep-sided volcano). It is one of the few towns with a harbour on this coast. Most of the inhabitants work in the fishing industry. The Blue Lagoon, Grindavík's première attraction, is located from the town.
