Isaak Phillips
Isaak Phillips (born September 28, 2001) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect under contract with the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Personal life Phillips was born in Barrie and has a diverse heritage, with Afro-Vincentian roots through his paternal grandparents, who came from St. Vincent, and Finnish ancestry from his mother. Playing career Phillips played major junior hockey with the Sudbury Wolves in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fifth round, 141st overall, of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The Blackhawks signed him to a three-year entry-level deal on March 31, 2021. Defenceman
Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from Goal (ice hockey), scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). The Rockford IceHogs are a professional ice hockey team based in Rockford, Illinois. They are members of the American Hockey League (AHL), having begun play in the League starting in the 2007–08 season. Ontario Junior Hockey League
The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is a Junior A ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada. It is under the supervision of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The league dates back to 1954 where it began as the "Central Junior B Hockey League". In 1993, the Central Junior B Hockey League was promoted to the Junior A level and renamed the "Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League". In 2009, the league was dissolved by the Ontario Hockey Association and split into two leagues: the "Central Canadian Hockey League" and the "Ontario Junior A Hockey League". The Stouffville Spirit are a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Whitchurch–Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. The Stouffville Spirit are members of the Ontario Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. History From 1970 until 1984, the Stouffville Clippers were members of the Central Junior C Hockey League and played at the old Stouffville Arena built in 1949. From 1984 until 1995, the team was on a long hiatus. A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. Dmitry Kuzmin
Dmitry Vladimirovich Kuzmin (, born December 12, 1968), is a Russian poet, critic, and publisher. Biography Kuzmin was born in Moscow, son of the architect Vladimir Legoshin and the literary critic Edwarda Kuzmina; among his grandparents were the critic Boris Kuzmin and the prominent literary translator Nora Gal. In 1985-87 he was enrolled in philology at Moscow State University, but was expulsion (education), expelled from it.
