"Irish Blood, English Heart" is a song by British singer Morrissey, released as the lead single to his seventh studio album ''You Are the Quarry.'' His first new song in seven years, it was released on 12 April 2004 in the United States and on 10 May 2004 in the United Kingdom. Steven Patrick Morrissey (; born 22 May 1959), known professionally as Morrissey, is an English singer and songwriter. He came to prominence as the frontman and lyricist of Rock music, rock band the Smiths, who were active from 1982 to 1987. Since then, he has pursued a successful solo career. Stephen Paul Lamacq (born 16 October 1964), sometimes known by his nickname Lammo (given to him by John Peel), is an English disc jockey, currently working with the BBC radio station BBC Radio 6 Music. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. ''Kevin and Bean'' was the morning show on KROQ-FM, an alternative rock-format radio station in Los Angeles, California. It was hosted by Kevin Ryder and Gene "Bean" Baxter. The show was on the air from 1990 to 2019 and interspersed music and news with comedy, celebrity interviews, listener call-ins, and live music performances.
