Irina Rîngaci
Irina Rîngaci (born 23 August 2001) is a Moldovan Freestyle wrestling, freestyle wrestler. She won the gold medal in the women's 65 kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, Norway. She is the first female wrestler representing Moldova to List of World Championships medalists in wrestling (women), win a gold medal at the World Wrestling Championships. Rîngaci is also a five-time medalist, including two gold medals, at the European Wrestling Championships. She represented Moldova at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Career Rîngaci finished in 4th place in the Wrestling at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics – Girls' freestyle 57 kg, girls' 57kg event at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 2021 World Wrestling Championships
The 2021 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held from 2 to 10 October 2021 in Oslo, Norway. The event was subsequent to the 2019 World Championships due to the cancelation of the 2020 edition during the COVID-19 pandemic. 2023 Polyák Imre & Varga János Memorial Tournament
The 2023 Polyák Imre & Varga János Memorial Tournament, was a wrestling event held in Budapest, Hungary between 13 and 16 July 2023. It was held as the fourth of the ranking series of United World Wrestling in 2023. With an aim to reward wrestlers participating in Ranking Series tournaments, the United World Wrestling awarded prize money to the medal winners in all weight classes with a total prize money of 390,000 Swiss Francs. The gold medal winners at the four Ranking Series tournaments in 2023 received 1500 Swiss Francs with the silver medallists getting 750 Swiss Francs. The 59th Dan Kolov & Nikola Petrov Tournament, was wrestling event held in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria between 17 and 20 February 2022. This international tournament included competition in both men's and women's freestyle wrestling and men's Greco-Roman wrestling. Nikola Petroff
Nikola Petrov (), better known as Nikola Petroff, (19 December 1873 – 2 January 1925) was a Bulgarian wrestler. He was born in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria. On 20 July 1898, in New York City, he earned the title "Champion of America". In the next year in Vienna, he became the European Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. In 1900, during the Exposition Universelle in Paris, he defeated the Frenchman Paul Pons and became a world champion. He fought in the First Balkan War. Dan Kolov
Doncho Kolev Danev () (26 December 1892 – 27 March 1940), better known by the ring name Dan Kolov (), was a Bulgarian professional wrestler born in Sennik, Bulgaria who was the first European freestyle wrestling champion from Bulgaria. He also won the European gold in 1936 in the championship in Paris, which was the second distinction for Bulgaria after the world title of Nikola Petrov (Greco-Roman wrestling) from 1900. He was inducted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 2020. Early years Doncho Kolev Danev was born on 27 December 1892 in the village of Sennik, Sevlievo municipality. 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup
The inaugural 2020 Individual World Wrestling Cup was held in Belgrade, Serbia from 12–18 December 2020. It was a replacement event for the 2020 World Championships, which should have taken place in the same location, but since some criteria were not fulfilled, such as not less than 8 top nations from the previous championships to participate, the event is not counted as world championships. The Cup took place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused this and other problems. The United States for instance chose not to participate. 2024 European Wrestling Championships
The 2024 European Wrestling Championships was held from 12 to 18 February 2024 in Bucharest, Romania. At the 2024 European Championships, in accordance with sanctions imposed following by the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, wrestlers from Russia and Belarus were not permitted to use the name, flag, or anthem of Russia or Belarus.
