Iozefina Ștefănescu
Iozefina Ștefănescu (; née Ugron; 3 January 1932 – 25 October 2015) was a Romanian handballer who played for the Romanian national team. She was the captain of the Romania national team that won the 1962 IHF World Championship. At club level, she played for ICEF București or Știința București. Covasna
Covasna (, , , ) is a town in Covasna County, Transylvania, Romania, at an altitude of . It is known for its natural mineral waters and mofettas. The town administers one village, Chiuruș (). The village has a population of 451 and has an absolute Székely Hungarian majority. Before Orbaiszék merged with Sepsiszék and Kézdiszék to create Háromszék County, in 1876, Covasna was the capital village of Orbaiszék. Name origin There are several theories regarding the origin of the city's name, the most recognized one being that it originates from the Slavic ''kvas'', which means "bitter", referring to the taste of the mineral water springs located in the city. According to Szabó Gyula (1914–1984), some legends suggest that the name of ''Kovászna'' might have been the result of a fusion between the name of "''Kó''" and the word "''vászon''" (it means ''canvas'' in Hungarian), thus meaning "''Kó's canvas''". Romania Women's National Handball Team
The Romanian women's national team represents Romania in senior women's international handball and is controlled by the Romanian Handball Federation, the governing body for handball in Romania. It competes in the three major international tournaments; the Olympic Games, the IHF World Championship and the EHF European Championship. Since first entering World Championship, Romania are the only team to have appeared in all 25 tournaments to date. They were crowned winners in the IHF World Championship three times: 1956, 1960 and 1962, and finished as runners-up in 1973 and 2005 and also finished third in 2015. Since first entering in 1994, Romania have never won the EHF European Championship, with their best performances being a third-place finish in 2010. The IHF Women's Handball World Championship has been organized by the International Handball Federation since 1957.
