Marin Iorda, pen name of Marin Iordache (30 August 1901 – 23 June 1972), was a Romanian visual artist, writer, filmmaker, and theatrical director. His beginnings were as a teen-aged cartoonist, employed on Constantin Costa-Foru's magazine for youth. Specializing in line art and graphic design, then formalizing his training with courses at the Bucharest National University of Arts, Art Academy, he spent the early interwar years as a regular at various cultural magazines in Bucharest. From 1919, Iorda was also promoted and educated by the writer, cartoonist and theater producer Victor Ion Popa, who inspired him to take up stage design; they functioned for decades as a two-man team, with Iorda as the less conspicuous one. Vasile Iordache (born 9 October 1950) is a Romanian former football goalkeeper and coach. Club career Vasile Iordache was born on 5 November 1946 in Iași, Romania and started playing football at the junior center of local club Politehnica under coach Mihai Bârsan, making his senior debut in Divizia A on 24 August 1969 in a 2–0 away loss to Farul Constanța. He was transferred at Steaua București in 1972 where he learned a lot about goalkeeping from the team's goalkeeper coach Ion Voinescu. He won two Divizia A titles under coach Emerich Jenei who used him in 13 matches in the campaign for the first title and in 14 for the second. Toni Iordache (17 December 1942 – 20 February 1988) was a Romani-Romanian '' lăutar'' and one of the most famous ''cimbalom'' (Romanian: ''ţambal'') players in the world. He was nicknamed ''the God of the Cimbalom'' and ''Paganini of the cimbalom''. Early life Toni was born in Bâldana village, near Bucharest, and began learning the instrument from his father when he was four. Ștefan Iordache (; 3 February 1941 – 14 September 2008) was a Romanian actor. Born in Calafat, Dolj County, he spent his childhood there before moving to the Rahova neighborhood of Bucharest. He failed being admitted into medical school, worked for a while as an accountant, and then enrolled in the I.L. Caragiale Institute of Theatre and Film Arts (IATC). In 2000, Iordache was awarded the National Order of Faithful Service, Officer rank. In 2006, he was voted the best actor in Romania. He died of leukemia, aged 67, in Vienna, Austria, and was buried with military honors in Gruiu, Ilfov County. Kumm is a Romanian alternative rock band formed in Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, Romania in 1997. The band has experienced several line-up changes, with guitarist Eugen Nuțescu and keyboardist Kovács András being the only remaining members from the first line-up. Ilie Iordache (born 23 March 1985 in București) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a midfielder, most recently for German club FC Holzhausen.
