Ion Țîrcovnicu
Ion Țîrcovnicu (7 April 1936 – 10 March 2003) was a Romanian football Forward (association football), forward. Club career Ion Țîrcovnicu was born on 7 April 1936 in Bucharest, Romania, starting to play football in 1954 at local club, Voința in Liga II, Divizia B. In 1955 he went at Progresul CPCS București, also in the second league, then one year later he signed with AS Progresul București, Progresul București where he made his Liga I, Divizia A debut on 2 April 1956 in a 2–1 home loss in front of FC UTA Arad, Flamura Roșie Arad in which he scored his side's goal. Afterwards he went for a short period at Victoria București, Dinamo 6 București, then he played one season for Unirea Tricolor București, Dinamo Cluj and two for FCM Bacău, Dinamo Bacău. The 1963–64 European Cup was the ninth season of the European Cup, UEFA's premier club football tournament. The 1962–63 European Cup was the eighth season of the European Cup, UEFA's premier club football tournament.
