Into Eternity (band)
Into Eternity is a Canadian progressive metal band from Regina, Saskatchewan, formed in 1997 by Tim Roth, Scott Krall and Jim Austin. History First five albums Into Eternity was formed in 1997 by founding members Tim Roth, Scott Krall and Jim Austin and later released an eponymous, independent album in 1999, with the addition of Chris Eisler and Chris McDougall. The band signed to Century Media Records a year later and then re-released their debut album. In 2001, the band returned with their second album ''Dead or Dreaming'', an album which saw a more pronounced integration of progressive and death metal. The trend continued on 2004's '' Buried in Oblivion'' and even further on 2006's ''The Scattering of Ashes''. Into Eternity performed on Gigantour 2006, which kicked off in Boise, Idaho on September 6, 2006. Power Metal
Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent, for example, in extreme metal. Thrash Metal

Traditional Heavy Metal
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. MetalSucks is a heavy metal music-themed news website. The site features reviews, interviews, information on latest metal releases and blog-like posts from the writers, most notably Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg. History The site was founded in December 2006 by authors Ben Umanov and Matthew Goldenberg who use the pen names Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg. In April 2009, MetalSucks was awarded Metal Hammer's Web of Death Award for "Best Reviews" for its "honest, insightful, unpretentious – and fun – reviews." On October 4, 2009, one of the writers for MetalSucks was accused of leaking the album '' Axe to Fall'' by Converge onto the internet prior to its official release. Concept Album
A concept album is an album whose tracks hold a larger purpose or meaning collectively than they do individually. This is typically achieved through a single central narrative or theme, which can be instrumental, compositional, or lyrical. Sometimes the term is applied to albums considered to be of "uniform excellence" rather than an LP with an explicit musical or lyrical motif. There is no consensus among music critics as to the specific criteria for what a "concept album" is. The Incurable Tragedy
''The Incurable Tragedy'' is the fifth full-length studio album by Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity. The album was released on August 25, 2008, in Europe through Century Media Records. This is the first album which does not feature longtime drummer Jim Austin, and the first to feature new drummer Steve Bolognese (although Steve toured with Into Eternity during the tour supporting ''Scattering of Ashes'' and appeared in the "Timeless Winter" video from the same album), and guitarist Justin Bender. According to the band's site, the album is a concept album focusing on the struggles of a man who is diagnosed with a terminal illness, specifically cancer. The concept was inspired by the deaths of the two best friends and father of guitarist Tim Roth. Dream Theater
Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. They subsequently dropped out of their studies to concentrate further on the band that would eventually become Dream Theater.
