Interstate 64 In Missouri
Interstate 64 (I-64) passes through the Greater St. Louis area in the US state of Missouri. The entire route is concurrent with U.S. Route 40 (US 40). Because the road was a main thoroughfare in the St. Louis area before the development of the Interstate Highway System, it is not uncommon for locals to refer to the stretch of highway as "Highway 40" rather than "I-64". On December 6, 2009, the portion of the highway running through the city of St. Louis was named the Jack Buck Memorial Highway in honor of the late sportscaster. Route description I-64 begins at an interchange with I-70, US 40, and US 61 in St. Charles County and heads south. Wentzville, Missouri
Wentzville is an exurb of St. Louis that is located in western St. Charles County, Missouri, United States. As of the 2023 U.S. Census Bureau estimates, the city had a total population of 47,497, making it the 15th largest city in Missouri. Wentzville has been the fastest growing city in Missouri, by percentage population increase from 2000 to 2020. History Wentzville was laid out in 1855. The community is named for Erasmus Livingston Wentz, who was the chief engineer of the Northern Missouri Railroad. A post office called Wentzville has been in operation since 1859. Interstate 44 (I-44) in the US state of Missouri runs northeast from the Oklahoma state line near Joplin to I-70 in Downtown St. Louis. It runs for about in the state, and is the longest Interstate Highway in the state. Route description I-44 enters Missouri in Newton County at the eastern terminus of the Will Rogers Turnpike, south of the Kansas state line. Interstate 55 (Missouri)
Interstate 55 (I-55) in the US state of Missouri runs from the Arkansas state line to the Poplar Street Bridge over the Mississippi River in St. Louis. Route description I-55 enters Missouri at the Arkansas border near Cooter. It runs northward through mostly flat land in the Bootheel, where it has an interchange with U.S. Route 412 (US 412) and I-155. The Congressman William L. Clay Sr. Bridge, formerly known as the Bernard F. Dickmann Bridge and popularly as the Poplar Street Bridge or PSB, completed in 1967, is a deck girder bridge across the Mississippi River between St. Louis, Missouri, and East St. Louis, Illinois. Busch Stadium (also referred to informally as "New Busch Stadium" or "Busch Stadium III") is a baseball stadium located in St. Louis, Missouri. Missouri Route 755
Route 755 was a proposed state highway entirely in the city limits of St. Louis, Missouri, that was never built due to local objections. Its northern terminus was to be at an interchange with Interstate 70 (I-70) in the northeastern part of the city and its southern terminus was at an interchange with I-44/I-55. It would have had an interchange with I-64/ U.S. Route 40 along the way. The road was proposed as a freeway bypassing the downtown area of St. Louis and would have provided the currently missing connections of northbound I-44/I-55 to westbound I-64 and eastbound I-64 to westbound I-44/I-55 or westbound I-70.
