''Internet – O Filme'' is a Brazilian comedy film directed by Fillipo Capuzzi Lapietra, written by Rafinha Bastos, Dani Garutti and Mirna Nogueira, and starring several Brazilian YouTubers. Paris Filmes announced the release of the film on September 9, 2016, with trailers and posters. During the promotion, it was shown at CCXP, Comic Con Experience. ''Internet – O Filme'' was released in theaters on February 23, 2017. Despite earning more than a million dollars and being one of the biggest box office hits in Brazil that year, the film received a negative reception from critics, especially about the plot and the acting. Plot Uesley (Gustavo Stockler) is an arrogant Youtuber who only cares about his own popularity. He is the main YouTuber at an influencer event held in a hotel. Rafael Bastos Hocsman (), better known as Rafinha Bastos () or simply Rafi Bastos (born December 5, 1976) is a Brazilian comedian, actor, journalist and television personality. Biography Rafinha Bastos was born to a Jewish family in Porto Alegre, Brazil. His ancestors immigrated from Russia. He received a scholarship in 1999 to play basketball at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, Chadron, Nebraska. Later, he played basketball in Brazil for :pt:Sociedade de Ginástica Porto Alegre, SOGIPA, from Porto Alegre, in 2000, helping the team to win the title of the State Basketball Championship in Rio Grande do Sul. Rafinha Bastos was a former host of "Caiga Quien Caiga#Brazil, CQC" a popular TV show in Brazil.
