Intaquam
''Intaqam'' () is a 1969 Bollywood thriller film directed by R. K. Nayyar. It starred Sanjay Khan and Sadhana in the lead, supported by Ashok Kumar, Rehman, Jeevan, Rajendra Nath, Helen and Anju Mahendru. The film also features the iconic cabaret number sung by Lata Mangeshkar, " Aa Jaane Jaan", a rarity through her long career. Choreographed by P. L. Raj. , the song remains one of the most popular dance numbers of Helen's career. The music was composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, with lyrics by Rajinder Krishan. All the songs were huge hit. Lata was nominated in the Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer category for her song "Kaise Rahun Chup", the only nomination for the film. "Aa Jaan-E-Jaan" () is a song from the 1969 Hindi film '' Intaqam''. It is one of the few cabaret songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar, and was an iconic song in India from the 1960s. It was picturised on Helen. Background Lata Mangeshkar did not like singing cabaret songs and music directors would usually prefer Asha Bhosle for singing them. This song is an exception. The song was tuned and styled in accordance with Lata's style and preference. When asked about the song Lata Mangeshkar laughed and said, "I remember telling Laxmikant not to give me any cabaret songs to sing. He assured me I could sing it without a hitch. Jankidas Mehra (1910 – 18 June 2003) was an Indian actor of Hindi cinema, cyclist, production designer, and writer. He made over 1000 film appearances between the 1930s and 1997.
