Innset is a village in Rennebu Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located along the Orkla River about southeast of the village of Berkåk, about southeast of the village of Ulsberg, and about northeast of the village of Kvikne (in neighboring Tynset Municipality). Sør-Trøndelag (; ) was a Counties of Norway, county comprising the southern portion of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. Hedmark
Hedmark () was a Counties of Norway, county in Norway from 1 January 1919 to 31 December 2019, bordering Trøndelag to the north, Oppland to the west, Akershus to the south, and Sweden to the east. The county administration is in Hamar. Hedmark and Oppland counties were merged into Innlandet county on 1 January 2020, when Norway's former 19 counties became 10 bigger counties / regions. Kvikne Municipality
Kvikne is a former municipality in the old Hedmark county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1966. The area is now divided between Tynset Municipality in Innlandet county and Rennebu Municipality in Trøndelag county. The area was one of the northernmost parts of the traditional district of Østerdalen. The administrative centre was the village of Kvikne where Kvikne Church is located. Norwegian National Road 3
Norwegian National Road 3 (, Rv3) is a Norwegian national road that is the main route through the Østerdalen district in Eastern Norway. It has been dubbed which means 'the green shortcut' by the old Hedmark County Municipality. The route runs south from European Route E6 at Ulsberg in Rennebu Municipality in Trøndelag county, via Tynset and Elverum, to Stange in Innlandet county, where it rejoins European Route E6. The route was long, of which are in Innlandet county and are in Trøndelag county. National Road 3 is the route most used for transport between Oslo and Trondheim, carrying approximately 90% of heavy traffic and most of the passenger car traffic between the two cities. This is because the route is about shorter in comparison to European Route E6, has better curvature, goes through fewer towns, and has smaller grades. Innset Church
Innset Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Rennebu Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Innset. It is the church for the Innset parish which is part of the Gauldal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The church was built in a cruciform style in 2000 using plans drawn up by the architect Kjell Kvernaas. The church has a natural wood exterior and it seats about 300 people. Innset church is a popular church for concerts. History Innset was originally part of Kvikne Municipality in Hedmark county. A copper mine was built in the area during the 17th century. In 1640, a smelting plant was built at Innset, and the village grew up around it. In 1642, the construction of a church was approved. Yset or Kvikne is a village in Tynset Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The mountain village is located near the mountain pass that lies between the large Østerdalen valley and Trøndelag county.
