Infinite Mass
Infinite Mass is a Swedish hip-hop group. Formed in 1991, they have since released four albums and eight singles. Biography The group formed in 1991. In 1992 they won the Swedish Championship of Rap talent show. The same year, they appeared in the movie '' Sökarna'', and released the single "Shoot the Racist", later renamed "Area Turns Red". The lyrics of the song attracted some media controversy in Sweden at the time. The group had their first chart hits in 1995, with the songs "Mah boys", "Area Turns Red" and "Ride". They won a Grammis Award for best club/dance song in 1995. In 1997 they released the album ''Alwayz Somethang'' and the single "Caught up in da Game". Their album ''The Face'' (2001), and songs "She’s A Freak", "Bullet", "Blazin" and "Enter The Dragon", established their characteristic sound, of a G-funk bass with a blend of heavy guitars, rapping, singing and unusual samples. Amir Chamdin
Amir Juan Chamdin, born 4 June 1974, is a Swedish director and musician renowned for his work in music videos, feature films, and TV series. Chamdin first made a name for himself as the front figure of the Swedish hip hop band Infinite Mass. After starting his career on stage performing with the band, he later achieved recognition when he turned into a director. Highlights include MTV Best Video winner “You're the Storm” for The Cardigans, the feature film sensation Cornelis—about one of Sweden's greatest music legends- and the crime-thriller Hassel, which reached number 1 as the most-watched new series in Sweden and Finland in 2017. ''Sökarna'' (literally "The Searchers") is a 1993 Swedish crime film directed by Daniel Fridell and Peter Cartriers. Liam Norberg stars as Jocke, a young criminal who becomes a successful bank robber and drug dealer after serving jail time. The story is set in an alternative, visually stylized Stockholm in the early 1990s. A sequel, '' Sökarna: Återkomsten,'' was produced in 2006. Grammis Awards
The Grammis (sometimes referred to as the Swedish Grammy Awards) are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. G-funk
G-funk, short for gangsta funk, (or funk rap) is a sub-genre of gangsta rap that emerged from the West Coast scene in the early 1990s. The genre is heavily influenced by the synthesizer-heavy 1970s funk sound of Parliament-Funkadelic (aka P-Funk), often incorporated through samples or re-recordings. It is represented by commercially successful albums such as Dr. Dre's '' The Chronic'' (1992), Snoop Dogg's '' Doggystyle'' (1993), and 2Pac's '' All Eyez on Me'' (1996). In sound and music, sampling is the reuse of a portion (or sample) of a sound recording in another recording. Samples may comprise elements such as rhythm, melody, speech, or sound effects.
