Indy Fuel
The Indy Fuel are a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL that began play in the 2014–15 season. Based in Fishers, Indiana, the Fuel play their home games at the Fishers Event Center, after having started play at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds. They are affiliated with the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs. History On November 11, 2013, the ECHL's board of governors approved the expansion membership application of the Indy Fuel for admission to the league for the 2014–15 season. From 2013 to 2024, the club was based in Indianapolis, and played home games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds. 2019–20 ECHL Season
The 2019–20 ECHL season was the 32nd season of the ECHL. The regular season began in October 2019 to and was set to conclude in April 2020 with the Kelly Cup playoffs to follow. Twenty-six teams in 19 states and two Canadian provinces were each scheduled for 72 games. On March 12, 2020, the league announced that the season has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On March 14, the league cancelled the remainder of the season. The league did not award the regular season trophy, as the AHL had done following the pandemic termination, because of a league rule regarding regular-season bonuses paid to the league champion from the playoff revenue pool. The 2019 Kelly Cup playoffs of the ECHL began in April 2019 following the conclusion of the 2018–19 ECHL regular season. The 2015–16 ECHL season was the 28th season of the ECHL. The regular season schedule ran from October 16, 2015 to April 9, 2016 with the Kelly Cup playoffs to follow. Manchester Monarchs (ECHL)
The Manchester Monarchs were a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL which began play in the 2015–16 ECHL season, 2015–16 season. Based in Manchester, New Hampshire, and affiliated with the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings, the team played its home games at the SNHU Arena. The Monarchs replaced the American Hockey League Manchester Monarchs (AHL), team of the same name, which played from 2001–02 AHL season, 2001 until 2014–15 AHL season, 2015, after which they moved to Ontario, California, and became the Ontario Reign.
