Indofood is an Indonesian producer of various pharmaceuticals and drinks, headquartered in Jakarta. The company was established on 14 August 1990 as PT Panganjaya Intikusuma, then later on 5 February 1994 its name was changed to Indofood Sukses Makmur. Salim Group
The Salim Group is Indonesia's biggest conglomerate and refers to companies where the Salim family holds majority ownership. Indomie is an instant noodle brand produced by the Indonesian company Indofood. Indomie has been mentioned as the largest instant noodle manufacturer in the world with 17 factories. Anthoni Salim, born Liem Hong Sien (; born 25 October 1949), is an Indonesian businessman and investor. He is the head of the conglomerate Salim Group and the chairman of First Pacific, a Hong Kong–based investment management firm. Early life Salim was born in Kudus, Indonesia, Kudus, Central Java—a city located within the Semarang metropolitan area—to entrepreneur Sudono Salim (1916–2012) and Lie Las Nio (1924–2015). Sudono Salim or Lim Sioe Liong (16 July 1916 – 10 June 2012), also known as Om (Uncle) Liem was an Indonesian banker and businessman. He was the richest individual in Indonesia.
