Independiente Futbol Club is a Salvadoran professional football club based in San Vicente, El Salvador. They play in the Tercera División, the top tier of El Salvador football league system, El Salvador football. The club was formed in 1946. El Salvador, officially the Republic of El Salvador, is a country in Central America. The El Salvador national football team (), known as ("the National Team"), represents El Salvador in international football, and is governed by the Federación Salvadoreña de Fútbol (). The national team's first match was played in September 1921, when they were invited to participate in a tournament to celebrate 100 years of Central American Independence. El Salvador has made two FIFA World Cup appearances: first in 1970 and again in 1982, but have never progressed beyond the first stage of a finals tournament. They were the 1943 CCCF champions, and finished in second place in the 1941 and 1961 championships. William Alexander Renderos Iraheta (born 3 October 1971) is a former Salvadoran professional footballer and currently manager of CD Municipal Limeño Club career Renderos started his professional football career at C.D. FAS, FAS where he would stay for twelve years, except for a short period at Luis Ángel Firpo. After playing two years with the Boston Bulldogs of A-League, Renderos signed with Isidro Metapán in 2001, in a squad which also featured the likes of veterans Carlos Castro Borja, Adolfo Menéndez and Guillermo Rivera. Edgar Alonso Henríquez (born 16 March 1964) is a former Salvadoran professional football midfielder and currently the manager of El Salvador U-21 team. Club career Nicknamed ''Kiko'', Henríquez started his career at Tercera División club Adler San Nicolás, then moved up a division with Salvadoreño de Armenia and made his debut in the Primera División de Fútbol de El Salvador with UES in 1985. Juan Quartarone Carbone (28 May 1935 – 23 November 2015) was an Argentine football (soccer), football midfielder. Nickname El Brujo (The Wizard) he played in Argentina and El Salvador. After retiring as a player, he coached a number of teams in El Salvador and the El Salvador national football team, El Salvador national team.
