Independence Day Cup
The All India Independence Day Cup, commonly known as the Independence Day Cup, is an Indian football tournament held in Nagaon, Assam and organised by Nowgong Sports Association. Teams from across the country compete in this oldest football tournament of Assam, which was first held in 1947, days after the Indian independence. Initially the tournament was hosted by the Nagaon Marwari Yubak Sangha. Venues Most of the matches are played at the Nurul Amin Stadium, Nagaon, which has the capacity of 5,000 spectators. Oil India Football Club, also known as Oil India Limited FC or simply Oil India FC, is an Indian institutional football club based in Duliajan, Assam. The club was founded by Oil India in 1964. It also participated in I-League 2nd Division, then second tier football tournament of Indian football league system, for three seasons. Oil India FC was nominated by the Assam Football Association for 2021 I-League Qualifiers, but didn't make it to the final list approved by the AIFF. ATPA Shield
The Assam Tea Planters' Association Shield, commonly known as the ATPA Shield Football Tournament or ATPA Shield, is an Indian annual football tournament held in Jorhat, Assam and organised by the Jorhat District Sports Association (JDSA). It is the third oldest football tournament of Assam after All India Independence Day Cup and Bordoloi Trophy. Since its inception in 1955, the tournament was very popular involving some leading clubs from northeast India and rest of the country. Kolkata giants East Bengal, Mohammedan and Mohun Bagan, as well as Dempo of Goa have competed in ATPA Shield. The coveted shield was donated and hosted by Assam Tea Planters' Association (ATPA). Bordoloi Trophy
The Bharat Ratna Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy, commonly known as Bordoloi Trophy, is a premier annual Indian football tournament held in Guwahati and organized by the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA). The tournament was founded in 1952 by Gauhati Town Club. It is named after Assam's first chief minister Gopinath Bordoloi. The prestigious tournament comprises some top clubs from the northeast and rest of India. Clubs from Bangladesh, Nepal, Thailand, Iran and Uzbekistan have also participated in this major championship. Abahani Limited of Bangladesh lifted the 2010 edition trophy. Kolkata based Mohun Bagan has won the Bordoloi Trophy title for record seven times. Gokulam Kerala Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Kozhikode, Kerala. Kidderpore Sporting Club () is an Indian professional multi-sports club based in Kidderpore in South Kolkata, West Bengal.
