Imrich Bugár
Imrich Bugár (, born 14 April 1955) is a Czechoslovak discus thrower. An Hungarians in Slovakia, ethnic Hungarian who represented Czechoslovakia and then the Czech Republic, his career highlights include an Olympic silver medal from 1980, a European Championship title from 1982 and a gold medal in the inaugural World Championships in 1983. His personal best throw of 71.26 metres puts him tenth in the all-time performers list. Career He was born in Ohrady near Dunajská Streda, Czechoslovakia, and represented the clubs Inter Bratislava and ''Dukla Prague''. Ohrady
Ohrady (, ) is a village and municipality in the Dunajská Streda District in the Trnava Region of south-west Slovakia. History The village was first recorded in 1138 as ''Kywrth'' in 1252 as ''Kurth'' and ''Kyrth'' which refers to the ancient Hungarian tribe 'Kürt'. Until the end of World War I, it was part of Kingdom of Hungary, Hungary and fell within the Dunaszerdahely district of Pozsony County. After the Austro-Hungarian army disintegrated in November 1918, Czechoslovak troops occupied the area. After the Treaty of Trianon of 1920, the village became officially part of Czechoslovakia. In November 1938, the First Vienna Award granted the area to Hungary and it was held by Hungary until 1945. After Soviet occupation in 1945, Czechoslovak administration returned and the village became officially part of Czechoslovakia in 1947. FK Inter Bratislava () is a football club based in Bratislava, Slovakia, temporarily playing its home matches in Štadion Pasienky. History Inter Bratislava was founded in 1940 by the Apollo refinery (later renamed Slovnaft).
