''Imagínate...'' is a studio album by the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo (group), Menudo, released in 1994 in music, 1994.. The album featured the members Abel Talamántez, Alexis Grullón, Andy Blázquez, Ashley Ruiz and Ricky López, and is the second album recorded by this line-up. Songs and promotion While promoting the album in Peru, the song "Los Amigos y Las Amigas" was accused of plagiarism of the song "Los Patos y Las Patas" by singer :es:Raúl Romero, Raúl Romero, a member of the group Los Nosequién y Los Nosecuántos. Edgardo Díaz, Menudo's manager, denied the accusations, stating that the term "plagiarism" was being misused, as the word "patas" was simply replaced with a synonym due to the pejorative use of the word "pato" in Puerto Rico. The Peruvian authorities banned the distribution and commercialization of the song. Charlie Cruz
Charlie Cruz (born 3 April 1975 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico) has been in the Salsa scene for over 20 years. His start was well received by fans of Salsa music. Career Born in 1975 in Puerto Rico Cruz was the oldest of seven siblings. He lived his adolescent years in Paterson, New Jersey, in the United States, where he grew to love salsa music. His models were exponents of the Afro-Caribbean genre such as Héctor Lavoe and Frankie Ruiz. His musical career started by singing chorus for his father, Fonzy Cruz, who recorded three records. In 1996, the younger Cruz decided to move to Puerto Rico to be closer to his family and musical roots. By so doing, he entered the salsa scene, working for two years as a vocalist in Domingo Quiñones' orchestra. At that time he took singing classes and studied piano as well. "Imagínate" (English: Imagine) is a song by Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. It is the first single from the album's re-release of ''La Revolución'' titled ''La Revolución: Evolution'', released on November 2, 2009. The song features American singer T-Pain. The song failed in any ''Billboard'' component chart as it garnered little airplay. Music video The music video was filmed movie-style on a graveyard in Los Angeles in October 2009, in conjunction with the music video for "Te Siento", including guest appearances of actors Amaury Nolasco, Paula Garcés, Wilmer Valderrama and fellow Reggaeton singer Franco "El Gorila". The music video shows a dramatic story of a love triangle between two men and a woman, played by Amaury, Paula and Wilmer, arriving to suffer tragic consequences. Omar Franco
Omar Franco, Dominican singer and composer, was born on June 11 in the town of Castañuelas, in the province of Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic. He spent most of his childhood, reaching adulthood, in the city of La Vega. Beginnings Franco began his singing career when he won first place in the Primer Festival de la Voz Vegana (First Festival of Vegan Voice) in La Vega, in 1971. He joined the orchestra of Rafelito Martinez, as a singer of boleros. He studied the first year at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, but stopped his studies to engage in an artistic career.
