Ilya Serov
Ilya Serov (born November 8, 1986) is an American trumpeter and singer. Ilya Serov is a Los Angeles-based jazz trumpet player and singer. Serov released his first album, ''September In The Rain'', in December 2013. Serov was named Best New Artist at the Hollywood International Entertainment Awards in 2014. Ilya Serov featured Roger Kellaway on an original rendition of Django Reinhardt's song "Swing 42" in 2017. On January 9, 2018, Ilya Serov released the single "Tangerine" that featured Grammy Award-winning Latin percussionist, Poncho Sanchez. Ilya Serov released his second album, ''Back In Time'' in September 2018 which featured Poncho Sanchez, Roger Kellaway, Bruce Forman and Eric Marienthal. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its roots are in blues, ragtime, European harmony, African rhythmic rituals, spirituals, hymns, marches, vaudeville song, and dance music. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, it has been recognized as a major form of musical expression in traditional and popular music. Roger Kellaway
Roger Kellaway (born November 1, 1939) is an American composer, arranger and jazz pianist who has recorded over 250 albums, and composed over 20 film scores Life and career Kellaway was born in Waban, Massachusetts, United States. He is an alumnus of the New England Conservatory. Kellaway has composed commissioned works for ensembles of various sizes. He also has composed music for film, television, ballet and stage productions. Pianist Phil Saltman was one of his early mentors. In 1964, Kellaway was a piano sideman for composer/arranger Boris Midney's group The Russian Jazz Quartet's album ''Happiness'' on ABC/Impulse jazz records. Kellaway composed the closing theme, "Remembering You" for the television sitcom ''All in the Family'', which was also used as the closing theme for the spinoff '' Archie Bunker's Place''.
