Moldova State University (USM; Romanian language, Romanian: ''Universitatea de Stat din Moldova'') is a university located in Chișinău, Moldova. It was founded in 1946, and initially had five faculties, Physics and Mathematics, Geology and Pedology, History and Philology, Biology, and Chemistry. Natalia Gherman ( Snegur; born 20 March 1969) is a Moldovan politician who has been serving as executive director of the United Nations' Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate since 2023. Gherman served as minister of foreign affairs and European integration and Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova from May 2013 to January 2016. She later served as special representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Central Asia (UNRCCA) from 2017 to 2023. Born in Chișinău in 1969, Gherman is the daughter of Mircea Snegur, the first president of Moldova. She studied at the Moldova State University and completed postgraduate studies at King's College London. The Commission for the Study and Evaluation of the Communist Totalitarian Regime of the Republic of Moldova () was a commission instituted in Moldova by Acting President of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu to investigate the Moldavian SSR, the state which administered the country as a Soviet Socialist Republic from 1940 to 1991, and provide a comprehensive report with the purpose of condemnation of Marxism-Leninism as experienced by Moldovan people. The Chicu Cabinet was a Cabinet of Moldova, led by Ion Chicu. It was formed on 14 November 2019 two days after the Sandu Cabinet led by Maia Sandu was ousted in a vote of no confidence. With the support of just over 60% of MPs in the Parliament of Moldova, Chicu was approved as a replacement Prime Minister. The Cabinet was dissolved on 6 August 2021, being followed by Gavrilița Cabinet. Composition The Governor of Gagauzia, Başkan (Governor) of Gagauzia is elected by universal, equal, direct, secret and free suffrage on an alternative basis for a term of 4 years.
