Ie-Tram Yucatán
The Ie-Tram Yucatán is a bus network in the city of Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico and nearby towns. Despite the name it is a fully Electric bus, electric bus rapid transit (BRT) network, making Mérida the fourth city in Mexico to have electric buses and the first to have a fully electric BRT system. The system operates entirely using buses of the Ie-Tram model (named for the system itself), manufactured by the Spanish company Irizar. When completed the bus network will be 116 kilometers long, and it will feature bus lanes. The network will have 67 bus stops, of which 46 will be in the bus lanes and 21 will be located in the streets. There are terminals near the Tren Maya stations (namely, and ) and a central station located near the new . The Va y Ven Metropolitan System of Friendly and Sustainable Mobility (, also known as Va y Ven (), is a public transportation and urban mobility system in the state of Yucatán, Mexico. It is managed and operated by the Government of the State of Yucatán, which offers urban bus services in the cities of Mérida, Yucatán, Mérida, Valladolid, Yucatán, Valladolid, Tekax, Tizimín, and Umán. It was inaugurated on November 27, 2021, as a replacement for the Integral Urban Transport System (SITUR; ), this system being replaced in its entirety on January 3, 2023. The Leones de Yucatán (English: Yucatán Lions) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League. The team plays its home games at Parque Kukulcán Alamo in Mérida, Yucatán. The governor of the State of Yucatan is the head of the executive branch of the Mexican state of Yucatán, elected to a six-year-term and not eligible for reelection. The figure of the governor is established on the Constitution of the State of Yucatan on its Title Fifth. Teya Mérida is a train station in Kanasín Municipality, Yucatán. History Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced the ''Tren Maya'' project in his 2018 presidential campaign. On 13 August 2018, he announced the complete outline. The route of the new Tren Maya put Teya Mérida station on the route that would connect Calkiní railway station and Izamal railway station. The station will have a high tourist demand, and so, has seven tracks and four platforms.
