Sultan Ibragimov
Sultan-Ahmed Magomedsalihovich Ibragimov (, ; born 8 March 1975) is a Russian former professional boxer. He competed from 2002 to 2008, and held the WBO world heavyweight title from 2007 to 2008. He was ranked by '' The Ring'' as the world's sixth best active heavyweight at the conclusion of 2007 and 2008. As an amateur he won silver medals at the 2000 Olympics and 2000 European Championships, and bronze at the 2001 World Championships, all in the heavyweight division. Ibragimov is one of seven southpaws to become world heavyweight champion: the others being Michael Moorer, Corrie Sanders, Chris Byrd, Ruslan Chagaev, Charles Martin (boxer) and Oleksandr Usyk. Timur Ibragimov (Тимур Ибрагимов; born January 15, 1975) is an Uzbekistani former professional boxer who competed from 2000 to 2012. As an amateur boxer, he competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Early life Ibragimov is from Uzbekistan. He is frequently being presented by various media as the cousin of former WBO Heavyweight Champion Sultan Ibragimov, although Sultan is a native of Dagestan. Rinat Ibragimov (5 November 1960 – 2 September 2020) was a virtuoso Russian-Tatar classical double bassist, best known as the principal bass of the London Symphony Orchestra and for his solo performances and recordings. Alina Rinatovna Ibragimova (; born 28 September 1985) is a Russian-British violinist. Early life and education Ibragimova was born in Polevskoy, Russian SSR, to a Tatar family. Her family was musical, and she began playing the violin at age four. At 5, she started at the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow, studying under Valentina Korolkova, and by the age of 6 had started her career by playing with various orchestras, including the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra. Amir Ibragimov (born 2 April 2008) is a footballer who plays as a forward for Manchester United. Born in Russia, he has represented England at youth international level. Alijan Rahmanuly Ibragimov (, also known as Alidjan or Alidzhon Ibragimov; 5 June 1953 – 3 February 2021) was a Kazakh oligarch of the Uyghur descent. Ildar Ibragimov (; ; born 16 August 1967) is a Russian chess player. He was ranked No. 72 in January 2000 with a rating of 2611, while his peak rating of 2637 was achieved in April 2006. Chess career Ibragimov shared first place with Vladimir Kramnik and Andrei Kharlov at the 1991 USSR Under-26 Championship. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 1993.
