Ib Christensen
Ib Christensen (15 March 1930 – 3 January 2023) was a Danish politician. A member of the Justice Party of Denmark and the People's Movement against the EU, he served in the Folketing from 1973 to 1975 and again from 1977 to 1981. He was also a Member of the European Parliament from 1984 to 1994. Christensen died in Randers Randers () is a city in Randers Municipality, Central Denmark Region on the Jutland peninsula. Vorup is a southwestern suburb of Randers, in Randers Municipality of Denmark, located southwest of Gudenåen and west of the district of Kristrup. The district's football team, Vorup FB, was founded here in May 1930, and played for a short period in the second half of the 1990s in the 2nd division. Folketing
The Folketing ( da, Folketinget, ; ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Established in 1849, until 1953 the Folketing was the lower house of a bicameral parliament, called the Rigsdag; the upper house was Landstinget. It meets in Christiansborg Palace, on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen. The Folketing passes all laws, approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government.
