IV (Ton Steine Scherben Album)
IV is a double album released by Ton Steine Scherben. Because of the black album cover, it is also referred to as ''die Schwarze'' ("the black one"). It is a collection of various influences from folk to punk and marks a departure from the band's earlier work, even though it continues the change that began with the previous album Wenn die Nacht am tiefsten…. Anarchist slogans such as "destroy what destroys you" or "no power for nobody" are no longer prevalent, although some of the songs were political, such as ''Der Turm stürzt ein'' ("the tower is collapsing"). Tarot Cards All the songs on the album aside from ''Morgenlicht'' were composed with the aid of Tarot cards from the Major Arcana. The so-called "Tarot secret" was not revealed until years after Rio Reiser's death, as it was worried that the magic of the innovative and sometimes very different texts would be lost. Most of the text is composed of images and metaphors; very little is unambiguous. After all the liv ...

The Lookouts
The Lookouts were an American punk rock band that existed from 1985 to 1990 on Iron Peak, a remote rural mountain community outside Laytonville, California. The members were Larry Livermore on guitar and vocals, Kain Kong (Kain Hanschke) on bass and vocals, and Tré Cool on drums and vocals. All three contributed on songwriting. The band is most famous for being Tré Cool's first band before joining Green Day. History Looking to start a punk band, Livermore had trouble finding members, citing the majority of the local musicians being hippies and "completely uninterested in the music we wanted to make."
Eventually, Livermore recruited 14-year-old Kain Hanschke on bass and 12-year-old Frank Edwin "Tré" Wright III on drums. Although he had never before played drums, young Tré showed an instant affinity for them, likely because, as L ...

Siam Shade
Siam Shade (stylized as SIAM SHADE) was a five-piece Japanese rock band, formed in Tokyo in 1991. The classic line-up of Hideki on vocals, Natchin on bass, Kazuma and Daita on guitar, and Jun-ji on drums broke onto the visual kei scene alongside a multitude of other artists in the early 1990s and enjoyed a decade of relative popularity. After disbanding in early 2002, the members have reunited several times since 2007 for one-off concerts and short tours. ''OK Music'' described the band's sound as melodic hard rock with flashy twin guitar riffs, and wrote that their greatest strength lies in the interplay between "sweet vocals" and "colorful metal sounds". Outside Japan, Siam Shade is best known for " 1/3 no Junjō na Kanjō", which was the sixth ending theme of the ''Rurouni Kenshin'' anime. Daita's work on their song "Triptych" was named the 83rd best guitar instrumental by '' Young Guitar Magazine'' in 2019. History 1989–2002: Formation and career In March 1989, high sc ...

IV (EP)
''IV'' is the fourth extended play by English band the 1975, released on 20 May 2013 through Dirty Hit and Polydor. It is the last of four EPs released before the band's debut album, ''The 1975''. The song " The City" was re-recorded for this EP (listed as "single version"), and it is a longer version of the re-recorded version that appears on the debut album. Interscope Records issued the EP in the United States by replacing every song but "The City" with songs from the band's previous singles. Interscope did issue "fallingforyou" backed with "Haunt //Bed" as a promotional 7" vinyl record as well. Critical reception ''IV'' received near-positive reception. Sam Lawrie from Motion and Sound Magazine wrote: "The other-worldly sound is fascinating, and the appeal of The 1975 is obvious when they stand out so much in the alt-rock genre. On the other hand, it can also fail to make an impact, and that is a risk The 1975 have decided to take. Basically, you’ll either love it or you ...

Led Zeppelin IV
The untitled fourth studio album by the English Rock music, rock band Led Zeppelin, commonly known as ''Led Zeppelin IV'', was released on 8 November 1971, by Atlantic Records. It was produced by the band's guitarist, Jimmy Page, and recorded between December 1970 and February 1971, mostly in the country house Headley Grange. The album contains one of the band's most well-known recordings, the eight-minute-long "Stairway to Heaven". The informal recording environment inspired the band, allowing them to try different arrangements of material and create songs in various styles. After the previous album ''Led Zeppelin III'' (1970) received lukewarm reviews from critics, they decided their fourth album would officially be untitled and represented instead by four symbols one chosen by each band member without featuring the name or any other details on the cover. Unlike the prior two albums, the band was joined by guest musicians: singer Sandy Denny on "The Battle of Evermore", and pia ...

This was the last album by the first incarnation of the band, they returned in 1994 with the release of '' Rien'' featuring a different line-up. IV (Winger Album)
''IV'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Winger, and the first since their 1993 album ''Pull''. Background According to frontman Kip Winger, one morning he "just woke up and heard the new Winger record" in his head, knowing just what he wanted to do with it. It was released in October 2006 on Frontiers Records. The album is the most musically progressive album of Winger's career. Lyrically, much of the album is sung from the perspective of U.S. soldiers stationed overseas. Kip Winger was inspired to do this after performing solo shows at U.S. military bases, and being touched by the stories of the soldiers he met. The album cover, showing a U.S. soldier being watched over by angels, was drawn by comic book artist Ethan Van Sciver, known for his work at DC and Marvel Comics. Kip Winger was introduced to Van Sciver by a mutual friend in Florida. Honors In 2009 Kip Winger was presented by U.S. General Harold Cross with an honorary plaque and U.S. flag that had f ...
