''IV'' (''Cuatro''), or ''Myriam Hernández IV'', is the fourth studio album by Chilean singer Myriam Hernández. It was released on December 13, 1994, through Warner Elektra Atlantic (WEA) Latina. Background While pregnant with her first child, Hernández returned to Los Angeles to record her fourth studio album, and second under her contract with Warner. The album was produced by Humberto Gatica and, for the first time, Hernandez herself served as co-producer. Additionally, for the first time in Hernandez' career she collaborated with non-Latino composers on one of her albums, as renowned musicians in the pop ballad scene at the time were enlisted to work with her, most remarkably David Foster and Albert Hammond. Myriam Raquel Hernández Navarro (born 2 May 1965) is a Chilean singer, songwriter and television presenter. Greg Adams is an American trumpet/flugelhorn player and music arranger, probably best known for his work with the band Tower of Power. Early life Adams grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and while attending Westmoor High School in Daly City he had already established a reputation as a musical prodigy. Career He had made plans to attend the Berklee School of Music in Boston, but instead accepted an invitation to join Tower of Power for their first album, ''East Bay Grease'' (1970). Charles B. Findley (born December 13, 1947, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania) is an American trumpet player known for his diverse work as a session musician. He also plays other brass instruments such as flugelhorn and trombone. His technical abilities and versatility are renowned even among other session players, with the celebrated session horn player and arranger Jerry Hey saying "Chuck Findley can play anything". Early life and career Findley graduated Maple Heights High School in Ohio in 1965 and later the Cleveland Institute of Music. Gregg Bissonette (born June 9, 1959) is an American jazz and rock drummer and vocalist. He is the brother of bassist Matt Bissonette, with whom he frequently collaborates. Bissonette is known for playing and recording many different styles of music. Neil Stubenhaus is an American bass guitarist. Career He started his musical training playing drums and switched to bass guitar at the age of 12. In one of his early bands, The Neighbourhood in 1969, he played with future Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent, with whom he played again in 1974 in Little Anthony and the Imperials. He studied at the Berklee College of Music where he graduated in 1975. After graduation, he was recommended by Steve Swallow and started teaching while playing in a band with another Berklee student Steve Smith ( Vital Information, Journey).
