Illinois Terminal Company
The Illinois Terminal Railroad Company (reporting mark ITC), known as the Illinois Traction System until 1937, was a heavy duty interurban electric railroad with extensive passenger and freight business in central and southern Illinois from 1896 to 1956. When Depression era Illinois Traction was in financial distress and had to reorganize, the Illinois Terminal name was adopted to reflect the line's primary money making role as a freight interchange link to major steam railroads at its terminal ends, Peoria, Illinois, Peoria, Danville, Illinois, Danville, and St. Louis, Missouri, St. Louis. Interurban passenger service slowly was reduced, ending in 1956. Freight operation continued but was hobbled by tight street running in some towns requiring very sharp radius turns. In 1956, ITC was absorbed by a consortium of connecting railroads. History ITC was a successor in interest to a series of interurban railroads that were consolidated in the early 1900s by businessman William B. Mc ...

Isothermal Titration Calorimetry
In chemical thermodynamics, isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) is a physical technique used to determine the Conjugate variables (thermodynamics), thermodynamic parameters of interactions in Solution (chemistry), solution. ITC is the only technique capable comprehensively characterizing Thermodynamics, thermodynamic and even Kinetic energy, kinetic profile of the interaction by simultaneously determining binding constants (K_a), reaction stoichiometry (n), enthalpy (\Delta H), Gibbs free energy (\Delta G) and entropy (\Delta S) within a single experiment. It consists of two cells which are enclosed in an adiabatic jacket. The compounds to be studied are placed in the sample cell, while the other cell, the reference cell, is used as a Treatment and control groups, control and contains the Buffer solution, buffer in which the sample is dissolved. The technique quantifies the heat released or absorbed during the binding process by incrementally adding one reactant (via a syringe ...

ITC Enschede
The International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) was an institute of higher (tertiary) education located in Enschede, Netherlands. As of 1 January 2010 it has been incorporated into the Universiteit Twente, University of Twente as the sixth faculty, while preserving its unique international character as a faculty ''sui generis'', and is now formally known as University of Twente, Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC). History and mission ITC was founded in 1950 with the name "International Training Centre for Aerial Survey" by the former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Prof. Dr. Willem Schermerhorn to provide training in map making as an aid to developing countries. Over the years its mission has been adjusted to changing technological and development realities, so that today it offers MSc, Master's degree, Master's, Diploma and Certificate courses in Geo-information Science (GIS) and Earth Observation (EO) with ...

International Teledemocracy Centre
The International Teledemocracy Centre (ITC) was established at Edinburgh Napier University in 1999. The centre is dedicated to researching innovative E-democracy systems that will strengthen public understanding and participation in democratic decision-making. ITC has worked in several roles on E-participation and E-democracy initiatives and research projects with a wide range of partners including parliaments, government departments, and local authorities, NGOs, charities, youth groups, media, and technical and research organisations. One of its first projects, undertaken in partnership with BT Scotland, was the design of the E-Petitioner internet petition An online petition (or Internet petition, or e-petition) is a form of petition which is signed online, usually through a form on a website. Institute Of Texan Cultures
The Institute of Texan Cultures (referred to as The ITC or The Institute) is a museum and library operating as a component of The University of Texas at San Antonio. The building which housed the institute is a striking example of Brutalist architecture, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2024. It serves as the state's primary center for multicultural education, with exhibits, programs, and events like the Texas Folklife Festival, an annual celebration of the many ethnicities that make up the population of Texas. It has been held yearly since 1972. The facility, established by the Texas Legislature on May 27, 1965, originally served as the Texas Pavilion at HemisFair '68 before being turned over to the University of Texas System in 1969. UTSA assumed administrative control of the museum in 1973. In 1986, the system designated the institute as a campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio. The ITC, through its research, collections, exhibits and ...

Isothiocyanate
In organic chemistry, isothiocyanate is a functional group as found in compounds with the formula . Isothiocyanates are the more common isomers of thiocyanates, which have the formula . Occurrence Many isothiocyanates from plants are produced by enzymatic conversion of metabolites called glucosinolates. A prominent natural isothiocyanate is allyl isothiocyanate, also known as mustard oils. Cruciferous vegetables, such as bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, and others, are rich sources of glucosinolate precursors of isothiocyanates. Structure The and distances are 117 and 158 pm. By contrast, in methyl thiocyanate, and distances are 116 and 176 pm. Typical bond angles for in aryl isothiocyanates are near 165°. Again, the thiocyanate isomers are quite different with angle near 100°. In both isomers the angle approaches 180°. Synthesis Allyl thiocyanate isomerizes to the isothiocyanate: : Isothiocyanates can be prepared by treating organ ...

Intercalated Cells Of The Amygdala
The Intercalated cells of the amygdala (ITC or ICCs) are GABAergic neurons situated between the basolateral and central nuclei of the amygdala that play a significant role in inhibitory control over the amygdala. They regulate amygdala-dependent emotional processing like fear memory and social behavior. Their function has been best studied with selective ITC ablation which impairs fear extinction, fear generalization, and social behavior. Studies have begun to recognize that ITC clusters may be implicated in reward, addiction, and withdrawal circuits given their heavy expression of dopamine and opioid receptors. In rodents, ITCs are organized into distinct clusters that wrap the basolateral amygdala (BLA). Each cluster is unique in connectivity, intrinsic properties, and function. These clusters are named by their location relative to the BLA with medial ITC clusters towards the central amygdala. Function ITC cells are thought to play a role as the "off" switch for the amygdala, ...
