Invis Multimedia, formerly India Vision International, an ICT consultant and solution provider and also the first Apple computer based video production studio of India, was set up in 1995. They started commercial production in March 1996. History In 1996 November, E. K. Nayanar, Chief Minister of Kerala, launched the CD-ROM project of Invis Multimedia. The history of digital media in Kerala starts with the launching of the project Kerala: The Green Symphony in November 1996. The CD- ROM, ''Kerala: The Green Symphony'' was the first cross platform (Windows/Macintosh) CD-ROM developed in India. The final product was released on 18 June 1998. Akira Miyawaki
was a Japanese botanist and an expert in plant ecology who specialized in seeds and natural forests. He was active worldwide as a specialist in natural vegetation restoration of degraded land. He was professor emeritus at Yokohama National University and director of the Japanese Center for International Studies in Ecology since 1993. He received the Blue Planet Prize in 2006. Thesis Beginning in the 1970s, Miyawaki advocated for the restoration of natural forests. Afforestation is the establishment of a forest or stand of trees in an area where there was no recent tree cover. There are three types of afforestation: natural regeneration, agroforestry and tree plantations. Afforestation has many benefits. In the context of climate change, afforestation can be helpful for climate change mitigation through the route of carbon sequestration. Afforestation can also improve the local climate through increased rainfall and by being a barrier against high winds. The additional trees can also prevent or reduce topsoil erosion (from water and wind), floods and landslides. Theyyam
Theyyam is a Hindu religious ritual practised in the North Malabar Region of Kerala and some parts of Karnataka. Theyyam is a ritual performance involving extended chanting of mantras and ceremonial preparations that typically span 8 to 10 hours. The ritual culminates with the placement of the ''mudi'' (sacred headgear) on the performer, a moment believed to mark the entry of the deity into the performer’s body. As part of the process, the performer consumes ''madhyam'' (toddy), which is believed to suppress personal consciousness, allowing the divine consciousness of the devatha to manifest. Arattupuzha Pooram
The oldest pooram (temple festival) in all of Kerala, the Arattupuzha Pooram is held at the Sree Sastha Temple in Thrissur for a period of seven days each year. Believers say that at this 'conclave', all Gods and Goddesses gather during the time period of the Pooram. Arattupuzha Temple in Arattupuzha, Thrissur district of Kerala. Visitors from nearby and far off places reach the village of Arattupuzha during the festival days. The pinnacle of the seven-day festival is the last two days.
