IL Averøykameratene
Idrettslaget Averøykameratene is a Norway, Norwegian association football club from Averøy Municipality, Møre og Romsdal. The men's football team currently plays in the Norwegian Third Division, Third Division, the fourth tier of Norwegian football. It had a stint in the Norwegian Second Division before being relegated after the 1999 Norwegian Second Division, 1999 season. In 2002 they won their Third Division group, and in the two-leg Playoffs to the Norwegian Second Division#2002, playoff they beat Bergsøy IL 6–1 on aggregate. They were relegated from the 2003 Norwegian Second Division. In Playoffs to the Norwegian Second Division#2006, 2006 they prevailed again, beating Skarbøvik IF 5–4 on aggregate, but they were relegated from the 2007 Norwegian Second Division. The 1999 2. divisjon was the third highest football league for men in Norway. 22 games were played in 8 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Hamarkameratene, Sandefjord, Strindheim and Tromsdalen were promoted to the First Division through playoffs against the other 4 group winners. Skarbøvik IF
Skarbøvik Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club based in the outermost part of Ålesund, Møre og Romsdal. The club have teams in both football and handball. The first team in football plays in the Third Division. Skarbøvik has in the recent years alternated between the Second Division and the Third Division. Skarbøvik won promotion to the Second Division in 2007 after beating Træff 7–2 on aggregate in the promotion playoff. Skarbøvik played three seasons in the Second Division, but were relegated in the 2010 season after finishing one point behind Byåsen who kept clear of relegation. Bergsøy IL
Bergsøy Idrettslag is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Fosnavåg, Møre og Romsdal. It has sections for association football, team handball and track and field. The club was founded at Bergsøya on 4 October 1944, as ''Bergsøy Turn- og Atletklubb''. The first sports were gymnastics and boxing, which could be practiced given the sports facilities on the island. The club also arranged its first skiing competition in February 1945, despite Norway still being occupied by Germany. After the occupation ended, the name was changed to ''Bergsøy Idrettslag'', and the expansion of sports and facilities started. Among the new sports were football and athletics; membership for women was introduced in 1947 and women started playing handball competitively in 1949. Playoffs To The Norwegian Second Division
The Play-offs to the 2. divisjon in association football took place from 2000 up to and including the 2010 season. The play-offs were instituted because of the streamlining of the 2. divisjon ahead of the 2001 season. It was reduced from eight to four groups, and thus, not all winners of the 3. divisjon groups could be promoted. Norwegian Second Division
The Norwegian Second Division, also called 2. divisjon and often referred to as PostNord-ligaen for sponsorship reasons, is the third-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. There are 28 teams divided into two groups, and at the end of the season the winner of each group earns promotion to the second-highest division, 1. divisjon. The teams finishing in second place in their respective group will qualify for the promotion play-offs, where they will face each other. The winner will play against the 14th placed team in 1. divisjon for promotion.
