IFK Fjärås
IFK Fjärås is a Swedish football club located in Fjärås in Kungsbacka Municipality. Background Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna (IFK) Fjärås was formed in 1932 at Westergård by some lads who wanted to start a football club. The oldest archived annual meeting minutes from the end of the 1930s indicate that the club activities included not only football but also walking, hiking and cross-country training for its members. IFK Fjärås now has over 800 members and is organised into three sections, namely men's, women's and a youth section. The club runs 25–30 teams and has around 350 active players. The main operations are based in Ögärdets IP at the Fjärås Fritidscentrum (Fjärås Leisure Centre). This is where the clubhouse is located along with two grass pitches for 11-a-side teams and a pitch for the seven-a-side teams. Kungsbacka Municipality
Kungsbacka Municipality () is a municipality in Halland County on the Swedish west coast, some 30 km south of Gothenburg. The municipal seat is located in the town Kungsbacka. In 1969 ''Tölö'' was merged into the ''City of Kungsbacka''. In 1971 the municipality was created when the city amalgamated with ''Särö''. The final step was taken in 1974 when three more former municipalities were added to form the new entity. Kungsbacka Municipality is closely integrated in the region of Metropolitan Gothenburg, but despite this it is administratively not a part of Västra Götaland County like the rest of the region. Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna (English: Sporting Society Comrades), usually abbreviated IFK, is a central organisation for many sports clubs in Sweden. There are also eight IFK clubs in Finland but they are organised separately. The Swedish IFK was founded 1 February 1895 and has 164 member clubs with around 100,000 members as of 2004. The best known IFK club in football is probably the one in Gothenburg, IFK Göteborg, which won the UEFA Cup twice in the 1980s.
