The International Dance Music Awards or IDMAs was an annual awards ceremony held in Miami Beach, Florida, United States as a major part of the Winter Music Conference. The awards were held every year from 1985 to 2020, except for 2017, when the conference was in the process of being purchased by Miami Music Week (the organisers of Ultra Music Festival). The Winter Music Conference (WMC) is a week-long electronic music conference, held every March in Miami Beach, Florida, United States since 1985. It is also known as the premiere platform for electronic dance music. The conference brings together professionals such as artists, DJs, record label representatives (A&R), producers, promoters, radio and the media for seminars and panel discussions. Each year, the WMC draws thousands of attendees from around the world. History and background The Winter Music Conference was founded in 1985 by Louis Possenti and Bill Kelly. ''A State of Trance'' (often abbreviated as ASOT) is a Dutch Trance music, trance radio show, hosted by Armin van Buuren and co-producer Ruben de Ronde, that first aired in June 2001. It is currently aired weekly every Thursday at 20:00 (CET) and 14:00 (EST) and as of January 2021, ASOT is broadcast by more than 150 stations in 84 countries claiming a weekly listener count surpassing 40 million. ASOT is broadcast as a 2-hour livestream with some stations re-airing the entire stream. However, several of its radio affiliates omit the second hour while other stations format the show into two 58-minute segments to make time for local advertising and station branding. Alessandro Renato Rodolfo Lindblad (born 7 July 1991), better known by his stage name Alesso (), is a Swedish DJ and record producer. Armada Music is a Dutch independent record label that specialises in releasing electronic dance music. Armada Music was founded on 1 June 2003 by Dutch producer Armin van Buuren, Dutch business executive Maykel Piron, and music manager David Lewis. Ultra Music Festival
Ultra Music Festival (UMF) is an annual outdoor electronic music Music festival, festival that takes place in March in Miami, Florida. The festival was founded in 1999 by Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes. It was first held on Miami Beach, but besides a tenure at Museum Park (Miami), Bicentennial Park, and briefly being held at Virginia Key in 2019, it has primarily been held at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami. It was a two-day festival from 1998 to 2010. Since 2011, Ultra has taken place across three days (Friday through Sunday) during the month of March. In 2012, it had a record attendance, of 155,000 people at the Ultra Main Stage. In 2013, the festival took place across two consecutive weekends to celebrate its 15th anniversary, with a combined attendance of 330,000 people. Nina Kraviz
Nina Kraviz () is a Russian DJ, music producer and singer. Early life and career Kraviz was born and raised in Irkutsk, Siberia, Russia. She moved to Moscow to study dentistry where she later gained her residency. Kraviz also worked in a number of roles in the early 2000s before she started her music career, including fixing " cosmonauts' teeth", hosting a local Irkutsk radio show, writing for a fanzine, and holding a club residency on Friday nights. In 2005, Kraviz was accepted into the Red Bull Music Academy in Seattle, however couldn't attend as she couldn't obtain a visa, attending the following year in Melbourne instead. Axwell & Ingrosso (stylised as Axwell Λ Ingrosso) is a Swedish DJ duo consisting of Swedish House Mafia members Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso. They made their debut performance at the 2014 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City in June.
