ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualification
T20 World Cup qualification is the process national cricket teams go through to qualify for the Men's T20 World Cup. The qualification process begins about two years prior to the main event, where teams take part in regional events to qualify for the World Cup. History For the inaugural edition in 2007, the ten full members qualified automatically, while the remaining two teams qualified via the 2007 ICC World Cricket League Division One. It was in 2008 that a separate qualifier was held for the T20 World Cup, and until the 2021 edition the full members of ICC qualified automatically for the tournament. From the 2021 edition, stipulated number of top ranked teams from the previous tournament secured automatic qualification for the next tournament. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global Sports governing body, governing body of cricket. 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup
The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the eighth edition of the Men's T20 World Cup, formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20. It was played in Australia from 16 October to 13 November 2022. In the final, England cricket team, England beat Pakistan national cricket team, Pakistan by five wickets to win their second ICC Men's T20 World Cup title and draw level with the West Indies cricket team, West Indies, who also won 2 ICC Men's T20 World Cup titles in both the 2012 World Twenty20, 2012 and the 2016 World Twenty20, 2016 editions. 2013 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier
The 2013 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier was played in November 2013 in the United Arab Emirates and is a part of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier series. This edition of the qualifier for the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 was an expanded version comprising ten qualifiers from regional Twenty20 tournaments in addition to the top six finishers of the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, previous edition. The groups were announced by the ICC on 7 August 2013. Ireland met Afghanistan in the final for the third time with Ireland winning their 2nd title against Afghanistan and 3rd title overall. The 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier was played in early 2012 as a part of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier series. This edition of the qualifier for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 was an expanded version comprising ten qualifiers from regional Twenty20 tournaments, in addition to the six ODI/Twenty20 status countries. It was staged in the UAE. ICC Associate and Affiliate Members from around the globe had the opportunity to qualify for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka. 2010 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier
The 2010 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier was played from 9–13 February 2010 in the United Arab Emirates and a part of ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier series. The top two teams progressed to play in the 2010 ICC World Twenty20, the international championship of Twenty20 cricket. The eight competing teams were: Afghanistan, Canada, Ireland, Kenya, the Netherlands, Scotland, UAE and the USA. The groups were devised by virtue of seedings from the previous ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, which was won jointly by Ireland and the Netherlands and, for the teams not participating in that event (Afghanistan, UAE and USA) on latest one-day rankings. 2008 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier
The 2008 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier was the inaugural tournament of ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier and was played between 2 and 5 August 2008 in Stormont, Belfast in Northern Ireland. The top three played in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20, the international championship of Twenty20 cricket. The six competing teams were: Bermuda, Canada, Ireland, Kenya, The Netherlands and Scotland. The competition was won by Ireland and the Netherlands, who shared the trophy after rain forced the final to be abandoned without a ball bowled. Both teams qualified for the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 finals in England. After the withdrawal of Zimbabwe from the competition, the two finalists were joined by third-placed Scotland who eliminated Kenya. ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings
The ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings is an international Twenty20 cricket rankings system of the International Cricket Council. After every Twenty20 International (T20I) match, the two teams involved receive points based on a mathematical formula. The total of each team's points total is divided by the total number of matches to give a rating, and all teams are ranked on a table in order of rating. Teams need to have played at least eight T20I matches in the previous three to four years to remain in the rankings table. The 2016 ICC World Twenty20 was the sixth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20, a Twenty20 International cricket tournament that was held in India from 8 March to 3 April 2016, and was the first edition to be hosted by India. The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 was the fifth edition of the Men's T20 World Cup, formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament, that took place in Bangladesh from 16 March to 6 April 2014. The 2010 ICC World Twenty20 was the third edition of the Men's T20 World Cup, formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament that was held in the West Indies between 30 April and 16 May 2010. The 2009 ICC World Twenty20 was the second edition of the Men's T20 World Cup, formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20 that took place in England in June 2009. As before, the tournament featured 12 male teams – nine of the ten Test cricket, Test-playing nations and three associate nations, which earned their places through a 2008 World Twenty20 Qualifier, qualification tournament.
