IAMX
IAMX is the solo musical project of Chris Corner founded in 2002 in London, London, England after the hiatus of his former band Sneaker Pimps. It is an independent music project with a secondary focus on the experimentation of visual art. Chris Corner IAMX spans across multiple genres, including electronic rock, dance music, burlesque-influenced dark cabaret, and emotional ballads sung with Corner's wide-range voice. IAMX has released ten studio albums, two remix albums, one experimental album, two live albums, and one acoustic rework album. Most were released independently, being written and produced solely by Corner, with the exceptions of the fifth studio album ''The Unified Field'' and the experimental album ''Unfall'', which were co-produced by Jim Abbiss, and the acoustic album ''Echo Echo (IAMX album), Echo Echo'', which was co-produced by David Bottrill. Chris Corner
Christopher Anthony Corner (born 23 January 1974) is an English record producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, singer and video artist. He was a founding member of the band Sneaker Pimps alongside Liam Howe, and is now active with his solo project IAMX. Kiss + Swallow
''Kiss + Swallow'' is the debut album by IAMX and was released on 13 July 2004. It mostly consists of tracks that were recorded for the unreleased fourth studio album by Sneaker Pimps, which is dubbed "SP4" by the fans. Overview ''Kiss + Swallow'' was an extreme departure from Chris Corner's work with Sneaker Pimps. Almost completely electronic, the album incorporates driving synth-rock ("Kiss + Swallow", "Your Joy Is My Low"), lush, atmospheric, melody driven ballads ("Mercy", "I Like Pretending", "Simple Girl") and groove-based, erotic electro ("Sailor", "Naked But Safe", "You Stick It In Me"). The album was recorded entirely in Chris Corner's private home studio in London between late 2003 and early 2004. A demo version of this album also exists. Sneaker Pimps
Sneaker Pimps are an English electronic music band, formed in Hartlepool in 1994. They are best known for their debut album, '' Becoming X'' (1996), and its singles " 6 Underground" and " Spin Spin Sugar". The band takes its name from an article the Beastie Boys published in their '' Grand Royal'' magazine about a man they hired to track down classic sneakers. The band was founded by electronic musician Liam Howe and guitarist Chris Corner. They later recruited Kelli Ali (then known as Kelli Dayton) as lead singer, plus guitarist Joe Wilson and drummer Dave Westlake as backup musicians. After '' Becoming X'', the band decided to replace Ali with Corner on vocals. Wilson and Westlake departed in 2002. In 2016 Howe and Corner revived the group after a lengthy hiatus. The Unified Field
The Unified Field is the fifth studio album by IAMX. On 19 October 2012 the album title was officially announced on IAMX's PledgeMusic page. On 22 January 2013 the album cover and track listing were revealed. The first track, "I Come With Knives" was featured on the first episode of the ABC show How to Get Away with Murder, and the track "The Unified Field" was featured briefly on episode three, as well as "Walk With The Noise" on episode nine. Release The song "The Unified Field / Quiet the Mind" was released as a double A-side to promote ''The Unified Field'' album. On 19 October the name of the release was confirmed on IAMX's PledgeMusic page. It was premiered on 3 December 2012. The second single, "Come Home", was released on October 25, 2013. Jim Abbiss
Jim Abbiss is a British music producer, best known for his work on records including the debut album of Editors ('' The Back Room''), Arctic Monkeys' Mercury Music Prize winning debut album, '' Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'', Kasabian's '' Kasabian'' and ''Empire'', Ladytron's '' Witching Hour'' and '' Ladytron'', Sneaker Pimps' debut '' Becoming X'', and Adele's '' 19'', and '' 21''. Becoming X
''Becoming X'' is the debut album by English electronic music, electronic band Sneaker Pimps. It was released on 19 August 1996 in the United Kingdom by Clean Up Records and on 25 February 1997 in the United States by Virgin Records. The album marked the only appearance of Kelli Ali, Kelli Dayton as lead singer before she was asked to leave the band; Chris Corner replaced her for the band's subsequent albums. ''Becoming X'' was commercially successful in the United Kingdom, while "6 Underground (song), 6 Underground" and "Spin Spin Sugar" would become hits in the United States. Fueled by the success of the former single, the album spent 23 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, US ''Billboard'' 200. Imogen Heap
Imogen Jennifer Jane Heap ( ; born 9 December 1977) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. She is considered a pioneer in pop music, particularly electropop, and in music technology. While attending the BRIT School, Heap signed to independent record label Almo Sounds and later released her debut album '' I Megaphone'' (1998). Robots in Disguise are an English electropunk band composed of Dee Plume (vocals and guitar), Sue Denim (vocals and bass) and a changing line-up of backing musicians. The group released four studio albums between 2000 and 2011.
