Howard Johnson's
Howard Johnson's, or Howard Johnson by Wyndham, is an American hotel chain and former restaurant chain. Founded by Howard Deering Johnson in 1925 as a restaurant, it was the largest restaurant chain in the U.S. throughout the 1960s and 1970s, with more than 1,000 combined company-owned and franchised outlets. The company began opening hotels, then known as Howard Johnson's Motor Lodges, in the 1950s. Howard Johnson's restaurants were franchised separately from the hotel brand beginning in 1986, but in the years that followed, severely dwindled in number. The last restaurant, in Lake George, New York, closed in 2022. The line of branded supermarket frozen foods, including ice cream, is no longer manufactured. was a city located in Ehime Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on November 1, 1958. As of 2003, the city had an estimated population of 28,292 and the density of 277.02 persons per km². The total area was 102.13 km². Tsukasa Hojo
is a Japanese manga artist. He studied technical design while still at Kyushu Sangyo University, where he began to draw manga. He worked on several one-shot stories before releasing his serialized works: '' Cat's Eye'', ''City Hunter'' and ''Angel Heart''. After the success of '' Cat's Eye'' and ''City Hunter'', Hojo went on to work on other series such as ''Family Compo''. His current ongoing series is ''Angel Heart'', a spin–off of ''City Hunter'' set in an alternate universe. It has been serialized in the ''Weekly Comic Bunch'' since 2001 and 30 collected volumes have been published so far. Tsukasa Hojo is Takehiko Inoue's mentor. The characters of the ''Inuyasha'' manga series were created by Rumiko Takahashi. Hōjō Clan
The was a Japanese samurai family who controlled the hereditary title of ''shikken'' (regent) of the Kamakura shogunate between 1203 and 1333. Despite the title, in practice the family wielded actual political power in Japan during this period compared to both the Kamakura shoguns, or the Imperial Court in Kyoto, whose authority was largely symbolic. The Hōjō are known for fostering Zen Buddhism and for leading the successful opposition to the Mongol invasions of Japan. Resentment at Hōjō rule eventually culminated in the overthrow of the clan and the establishment of the Ashikaga shogunate. Bloodline The Hōjō are alleged to have been an offshoot of the Taira of the Kanmu branch, originating in Izu Province.
