Hässelby-Vällingby
Hässelby-Vällingby is a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') in the western part of Stockholm, Sweden. The name is taken from Hässelby Castle (''Hesselby Slott'') which included large areas within the present three districts. The port of Hässelby also includes parts of Vinsta. Västerort
Västerort (sometimes translated to ''West Stockholm'') is the western part of Stockholm Municipality in Stockholm County, Sweden. It also forms part of Stockholm urban area and of Stockholm Metropolitan Area. It constitutes the western suburban area within Stockholm's municipal borders. The eastern part of Västerort was incorporated by the ''City of Stockholm'' in 1916 and the western part in 1949. Boroughs Of Stockholm
Municipalities in Sweden are in some rare cases divided into smaller districts (sometimes translated ''boroughs'') or urban districts, and are sometimes assigned administrative boards responsible for certain areas of governance in their respective areas. Kälvesta is a suburban district in the Hässelby-Vällingby borough in western Stockholm. Most of Kälvesta was built during the late 1960s and the 1970s. Kälvesta has two middle schools (Sörgårdsskolan and Björnbodaskolan). The two buses 119 and 116 pass through Kälvesta on their way to either Spånga Station or Vällingby Centrum. Vällingby
Vällingby () is a suburban district in Västerort in the western part of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. History The agricultural land where the modern suburb now stands, has a history stretching some 2,000 years back (i.e. at least twice as old as Stockholm). The people who lived there were known as ''vaellingar'', "those living on the embankment". While it first appears in historical records in 1347 and it is known that two farmyards existed here during the reign of King Gustav Vasa in the 16th century, in the 1922 edition of '' Nordisk Familjebok'' the location was still regarded as too insignificant to deserve an article. In 1953 the number of inhabitants barely exceeded 2,000.
