Hypochaeris Sessiliflora
''Hypochaeris sessiliflora'', the chikku chikku, is a South American species of plants in the family Asteraceae. It is a terrestrial herb of high Andes, Andean forest to high altitude páramo (2,500–4,500 m). ''Hypochaeris sessiliflora'' is a small plant rarely more than 13 cm tall. Cotopaxi () is an active stratovolcano in the Andes Mountains, located in Latacunga city of Cotopaxi Province, about south of Quito, and northeast of the city of Latacunga, Ecuador. It is the second highest summit in Ecuador, reaching a height of . Cotopaxi is among the highest active volcanoes in the world. Its most recent eruption began on 14 August 2015, and ended on 24 January 2016. Cotopaxi is known to have erupted 87 times, resulting in the creation of numerous valleys formed by lahars (mudflows) around the volcano. The last eruption lasted from August 2015 to January 2016.
