Hughes is a town in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 383 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated communities of Muskeg and Wills are located in the town. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which is land and , or 2.37%, is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 408 people, 166 households, and 123 families residing in the town. The population density was 7.8 people per square mile (3.0/km2). There were 343 housing units at an average density of 6.6 per square mile (2.5/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.30% White, 0.25% Native American, 0.74% Asian, 0.74% from other races, and 0.98% from two or more races.
