Howard Redekopp
Howard Redekopp is a Canadian Juno Award-winning record producer, mixer, writer, musician, and recording engineer best known for his work with Tegan and Sara and La Gusana Ciega. Redekopp's production work has received two Grammy Award nominations and one Latin Grammy nomination. His work has played a significant role in the careers of Canadian artists such as Mother Mother, the New Pornographers, Dear Rouge, Said the Whale, and Scenic Route to Alaska. Redekopp is a board member of the Music BC Industry Association and the founder of the record label How Weird Sounds. An audio engineer (also known as a sound engineer or recording engineer) helps to produce a recording or a live performance, balancing and adjusting sound sources using equalization, dynamics processing and audio effects, mixing, reproduction, and reinforcement of sound. Audio engineers work on the "technical aspect of recording—the placing of microphones, pre-amp knobs, the setting of levels. Todd George Fancey is a Canadian guitarist, keyboardist, and solo artist. He is the guitarist for Vancouver-based indie rock band The New Pornographers and the bassist for the band Limblifter. Goldenboy
Goldenboy is an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. Band name and roster Shon Sullivan is Goldenboy, named by Elliott Smith while touring with him in 2000. The first Goldenboy album, Blue Swan Orchestra, was released in October 2002 on B-Girl Records. Blue Swan Orchestra was recorded at Sullivan's studio in Diamond Bar, California and at singer Josie Cotton's studio in Malibu, California. The track "Summertime" features Elliott Smith on backing vocals. Goldenboy's second album, "Underneath the Radio" was released in October 2006 on Eenie Meenie Records. Kinnie Starr
Alida Kinnie Starr (born 1970) is a Canadian multidisciplinary recording artist. Early life Starr was born and raised in Calgary, where she attended Western Canada High School. Her ancestry is French, German, Irish and indigenous, specifically Mohawk. She is trilingual (English, French and Spanish). Starr has a BA in Race and Gender Studies from Queen's University. After moving to Vancouver, Starr formed her first band in 1992. The Paper Cranes are a Canadian indie pop band from Victoria, British Columbia. The band is composed of the husband and wife duo of Ryan McCullagh (Guitar, Bass, Vocals) and Miranda Roach (Keyboard, Drum Sequencing). The Organ (band)
The Organ was a Canadian post-punk band formed in 2001 in Vancouver, British Columbia. They officially broke up on December 7, 2006, due to illness and personal conflicts in the band. Biography Early years The Organ were conceived in 2001 by frontwoman Katie Sketch, born Katie Ritchie, in Vancouver, BC.
