Howard Mason
Howard "Pappy" Mason (born September 8, 1959) is an American drug trafficker and organized crime figure. Mason and his partner, Lorenzo "Fat Cat" Nichols, ran a drug smuggling gang called the Bebos, in the Jamaica, Queens neighborhood of New York City. The gang sold drugs and netted as much as $200,000 per month in profit. Murder of Edward Byrne From behind bars on gun charges, Mason ordered the 1988 murder of a police officer, Edward Byrne, which led to increased law enforcement attention and Mason's eventual arrest and conviction on various charges. A month after the killing, Mason was sentenced to seven years in prison on gun charges. The federal government continued to investigate Mason for the Byrne killing. Edward Byrne (police Officer)
Edward Byrne (February 21, 1966 – February 26, 1988) was a police officer in the New York City Police Department who became well known in the United States after he was murdered in the line of duty. Byrne's father had also been an NYPD officer. Byrne had joined the NYPD on July 15, 1986, and was stationed in the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica, Queens. Prior to joining the NYPD, Byrne was in the New York City Transit Police. Murder Around 3:30 a.m on February 26, 1988, Byrne was sitting in his marked patrol car on 107th Avenue and Inwood Street in the South Jamaica section of Queens in New York City. ''Power of the Dollar'' is the unreleased debut studio album by American rapper 50 Cent. Originally set to be released as his major-label debut in 2000 by Columbia Records, the album's release was cancelled after Columbia discovered that 50 Cent was struck by nine bullets in a shooting that took place two months before the album was set to release. After the shooting, Columbia dropped 50 Cent from the label. Subsequently, the album was heavily bootlegged. , Columbia has no plans to release the album. The album features guest appearances from Destiny's Child, Noreaga, Dave Hollister, Bun B and the Madd Rapper. David Norman Dinkins (July 10, 1927 – November 23, 2020) was an American politician, lawyer, and author who served as the 106th mayor of New York City from 1990 to 1993.
