Historia (newspaper)
Historia is a French monthly magazine devoted to History topics. History Historia was created by Jules Tallandier, a former bookseller who became an editor. In 1908 start the ''Lisez-moi'' magazine, composed with adventure stories. In December 1908 Historia is created as an historical counterpart to ''Lisez-moi''. The magazine ceased to be released from 1937 to 1945. The magazine is restarted in 1946 by Maurice Dumoncel, grandson of Jules Tallandier. In 1955, the magazine takes its current title. In 1999, the Le Point group buys the Tallandier edition, including the Historia magazine. The Tallandier editions are then fragmented, and Historia becomes a part of the Sophia Publications group. Sophia Publications is sold in 2014 to Maurice Szafran, former president of Marianne. In June 2016, Sophia Publications was sold to the Claude Perdriel, historic owner of the press group ''Challenges''. French Language
French ( or ) is a Romance language of the Indo-European family. It descended from the Vulgar Latin of the Roman Empire, as did all Romance languages. French evolved from Gallo-Romance, the Latin spoken in Gaul, and more specifically in Northern Gaul. Le Figaro
''Le Figaro'' () is a French daily morning newspaper founded in 1826. It is headquartered on Boulevard Haussmann in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. The oldest national newspaper in France, ''Le Figaro'' is one of three French newspapers of record, along with ''Le Monde'' and ''Libération''. It was named after Figaro, a character in a play by polymath Beaumarchais (1732–1799); one of his lines became the paper's motto: "''Sans la liberté de blâmer, il n'est point d'éloge flatteur''" ("Without the freedom to criticise, there is no flattering praise"). With a centre-right editorial line, it is the largest national newspaper in France, ahead of ''Le Parisien'' and ''Le Monde''. ''Le Point'' () is a French weekly political and news magazine published in Paris. History and profile ''Le Point'' was founded in September 1972 by a group of journalists who had, one year earlier, left the editorial team of '' L'Express'', which was then owned by Jean-Jacques Servan-Schreiber, a ''député'' (member of parliament) of the Parti Radical, a centrist party. Claude Perdriel (born 25 October 1926) is owner-manager of the Perdriel Group that publishes ''Sciences et Avenir'', ''Challenges'', ''Rue89'' and during 1970–1980, the Paris daily ''Le Matin de Paris''. It also published ''Le Nouvel Observateur'' from its foundation in 1964 to 2014 when it was sold to a group of investors that already published ''Le Monde''. Biography Claude Perdriel bought the newspaper ''France Observateur'' in 1964 and renamed it ''Le Nouvel Observateur''. In 1973, he launched the magazine ''Le Sauvage''. ''Le Monde'' (; ) is a French daily afternoon newspaper. It is the main publication of Le Monde Group and reported an average circulation of 323,039 copies per issue in 2009, about 40,000 of which were sold abroad. Connected Car
A connected car is a car that can communicate bidirectionally with other systems outside of the car (LAN). This allows the car to share internet access, and hence data, with other devices both inside and outside the vehicle. For safety-critical applications, it is anticipated that cars will also be connected using dedicated short-range communications (DSRC) or cellular radios, operating in the FCC-granted 5.9 GHz band with very low latency. Both the U.S. and EU scenarios concentrate on 5.9 GHz communications, however, the EU scenario has a clearer path towards the use of hybrid communications (through the proposed CALM approach) than does the U.S. scenario.
